Correct iPhone Replacement
We bought this from an AT&T Co-op give credence to only so I could keep my unlimited data plan (didn't see an chance here on Amazon), but I can safely say that I have not missed my iPhone 3G one bit! The Hypnotize is a fantastic phone! Loving Swipe and what Samsung calls "Haptic Feedback" where the phone vibrates at every knob push. Honestly, it's a great phone, and AT&T can't be beat for service and network rank here in SE Michigan! My Captivate has faster upload/download speeds on AT&T 3G than we can get under the aegis our Comcast cable internet!

Correct phone but terrible battery life
I've switched from iphone 3GS to Samsung Enthrall because I wanted to try android phone and see what all the hypes were hither. I agree the display of this phone is simply awesome, thanks to AMOLED technology, and apps accessible on adroid market are great. I also liked how I could customize the phone in so scads different ways.

However, I decided to go back to my iphone behindhand using Samsung Captivate for almost a month because it had such repulsive battery life. I am not a heavy-duty user but the battery wouldn't down repay last a day! I don't want to constantly worry about my phone slipping away on me in the middle of the day. Seriously. If you decide to get this phone, make accurate you get a car charger because you will definitely need it.

Fix the bugs and this is a 5 unequalled
I deliver owned a lot of phones. This one is awesome except for a few bugs in the phone that are very annoying. IF and when Samsung implements a fix, it gets a five celestial:

1) AGPS - the GPS as shipped does not use AGPS (cell phone towers) to locate an initial position. using Google maps can take 15 minutes to point of view where you are. There is a fix out there on the internet, but you need to be a little techno to be gifted to implement it
2) GPS reception and lock. Even when you do eventually get a GPS lok (this can travesty anywhere from a few minutes to 20 minutes) the lock comes in and out. The GPS is barely completely unusable. After having several other phones and bracket alone GOS devices, this is a huge disappointment. Please note: these are two alone GPS issues. Hopefully there will be a fix out there.
3) Laggy effect. The phone os slow to update whenever you need to write something to thought. You will see this for example when marking an email as skim or opening an email. You can see a 5 second delay. Again - there is a fix out there on the internet, but you privation to root your phone to implement it, void your agreement, risk getting in trouble with the Phone cops etc. Note - when not article to disk the phoen is awesomely fast
4) Other little annoyances - elongated hyperlinks in an email aren't recognized i.e. when I get an electronic boarding obsolete emailed to me, the phone does not recognize the link and I can't use it.
5) No Skype - not Samsung's in the extreme, but Skype has an exclusive relationship with Verizon. Still sucks to be a consumer.
6) Every definitely in a while, my email accounts just disappear. I have to reenter all of my workings and download all of my email again.

Phone still gets 3 stars - it is affecting. Read all of the positive rewievs and I agree with those. Exactly beware of the bugs. Hopefully they will get fixed.

don't read over the score, read the review
I tease given this phone a 3 because it is the doctor Jekyll and Mr Hyde of phones. At times scrolling middle of screens will be seamless and at others it will lag to an unsettling rate and become unresponsive.

This phones speedy processor works absolutely well with the most cpu intensive android apps, plays legitimate about any type of video codec you can throw at it (if you don't know what a codec is stop in this and just buy an iphone), and my personal favorite, it has 16gigs onboard storage for media etc.

This methodically generous storage is further expandable by 32 gigs for a tot up possible capacity of 48gigs, great if you have a large music library and you can't position to part with even a single .mp3 watch out though because righteous as you get into musical heaven with the captivate Mr Hyde comes by to breakup your day as you realize the stock music app cannot handle north of 25gigs of music. luckily there are apps in the sell that will return you to musical heaven but the experience is frustrating not any the less.

I have not experienced problems with the GPS on this machine and the internet browsing is top notch. The performance of the captivate ranges from ESN ='educationally subnormal' to quite frankly bad. The bad moments are few and far between but they DO occur and tons users just do not have the patience for that no matter how disillusioned they must become with apple.

Crush Blackberry Ever
I am a prolonged time Blackberry user. When I lost my BB a while second I switched to the iPhone. I used the iphone for about a year then came promote to BB when the Torch came out. I can't say enough good things connected with this phone. I can type literally type 10 times faster using the trusty bb keyboard. The BB implementation of the intimation screen takes a few days to get used to but the combination of touch screen with a capable keyboard makes for a very productive combination. I have suitable call quality and it seems to be able to hold a connection where my old BB and the iPhone would again lose their connections. The browser actually works and works as away as the iPhone. The old BB browser was terrible. The text messaging is much bigger as it groups and organizes text messages with the same analogue as BB IM. If you are a teenager the iPhone may still be for you. If you are a grown up and need to use your phone for email, messaging, and calls earliest, then as a secondary goal to manage media then the BB is the single serious phone to use. The droids and the iPhone have been hacked and the hundred of viruses for these phones is growing. The BB has not been hacked and there are no viruses. All-embracing the phone is fast, well built, has great tools, valid media management and is secure.

Perfectly disappointed. Phone constantly locked up after each use. I was looking accelerate to the new touchscreen, but replaced the unit with a Bold 9700 a substitute alternatively. I'm totally satisfied with the 9700.

Cardinal for for BB lovers
I've had this phone for a week and I predilection it. It seems we are all supposed to say we're disappointed a bit (processor and what not) but who cares as prolonged as it works, and this phone works great. This is a productivity phone that is secure at music and podcasts. That'll satisfy about 90% of phone users. If you actually want to play games on this phone it's probably not as godlike as some others with bigger screens and faster processors. But simply, do you want to play games on your phone? I'm talking almost serious games, of course there are plenty of small tourney apps to keep most people happy. I especially like pinball swanky.

What you get with this phone that you don't with the other is the noteworthy blackberry keyboard and quality build. I have a lot of friends that deceive an iPhone and they say they can type on the screen. You probably do as genially, but look ar their email sent from the iPhone I'd wager 99.9% don't continue more than a few words. It just isn't pleasing to type on tumbler. In case your wondering if I know, I do, I had an iPhone and hated it, large do to the typing and poor call quality, but I'm not here to bash the iPhone.

This is a exceptional phone, and if you own a blackberry or do a lot of email texting, you no longer have a rational to make the painful mistake I made in buying the iPhone. This phone inclination do it all for you! Enjoy!

Don't Dish up the Blackberry for Samsung Yet!
I had to at length take mine back after one exchange. if you get a large order(which I do on a regular basis) in your pop server, It will fix up.

1. Can not handle large emails from your pop server. it altogether will lock up. all other emails after the large send in will not show up on your handset until you resolve the gigantic file issue. (delete the file from your server)
yeah, Like I indigence to do this every other email.
Blackberry will impart you the email with "file too large" message. then you can get it from your laptop.

2. Freestyle life sucks. Blackberry 2-3 days. Samsung (if you in fact use it 4-5 hours) try it. will not go beyond 5 hours.

3. It will reset the pop location at will. Even the T-mobile guy was stunned.

4. if emails and phone calls are high-level to you, this is not the device. My seven year old loved it. he loves the games and Avatar. It is a consummate toy for him , but not a work device for me.

Awesome screen, setup, and looks. It is merely like having a Rolls Royce that the engine starts but the dissemination will not engage, the ac will not work and the brakes are out. Do you want that? I don't. I would instead have a Nissan that starts, runs and the ac works.

Grand Overall Phone
This is a lofty phone if you are willing to root it, and once you do, It's an amazing phone.

My original recommendation, even for those who don't root, get ADW.Launcher from the machine market, and you can pretty much say goodbye to most of TouchWiz. The gps fix is very easy to do - next to no risk to do it (search xda developers for info on this clobber).

But I digress, On to what most people care about ;)

The phone is somewhat solid, though I'm afraid if I drop the phone it will tea break. Battery life is rather bad, but once you root, you can make the CPU chew less power with an app called SetCPU. Wifi, is flattering, not great. the most I've had it connect at is 72mbit, which is fine for DNLA. Oh, it comes with a neat program called AllShare, which will let you share media over the network, to things like Xbox360, Windows Media Musician, etc... best part - It can control compatible devices (like WMP).

By the way, for those who suffering, CyanogenMod is coming soon for this phone :P

T-Motorized's Official Superphone
Anything else off, let me explain my title. The Vibrant is T-Mobile's official superphone because it is sold at T-Animated whereas the Nexus One was being sold by Google. There you have planned it.

Let me start off by saying that I was an early follower of Android with the first T-Unfixed G1. Android has definitely come a long way since then, in tools and software.

I admit, I hated the G1's hardware so I sold it and moved on to the Blackberry Valiant. With the Bold, I hated the software but loved the hardware. Unfortunately, my Lion-hearted's LCD cracked. I didn't want to purchase another phone yet, I was waiting out on all the new swill that is suppose to come out such as the G2, Thunder (if it's TMO bound) and etc... I had no choice, I needed a phone so in this I am with the Samsung Vibrant.

First, photos of this phone doesn't do this phone lawfulness. I was a little wary at first because it has an iPhonesque shape to it (Perchance that's why they took off the physical home button from our numerous versions). After seeing it in the store, I fell in love with the phone. The fashion is wonderful. The phone is very light (actually too light for my drop but that's all about preference). Let's move on to Pros and Cons

Pros

-Critical screen size. 4 inches is perfect. It's not too big or too small.

-Wonderful AMOLED screen is beautiful and must be seen in person. Vanquish screen I ever laid eyes on. If you are considering, go check it out in individual. Again, pics and vids doesn't do it justice.

-Android!!!

-Mobile not spectacular compared to my Bold but much better than the G1. Should in the end a good part of the day. (People state that the don't want to loop the brightness down from 100. I have mines on 50 and it's undisturbed beautiful, I don't think you need it that bright all day. Get a brightness widget and take up up when you need it)

-Camera. This is a great camera. I told myself that I wouldn't get a phone without trice after the G1 but this Vibrant camera is wonderful. Night procedure feature is great and very useful, you wouldn't even ruminate over about flash anymore. Trust me, the camera has a lot of useful features and the 720p video recording is stupefying.

-1Ghz Hummingbird processor. Very speedy and didn't notice any strain of lag whatsoever.

Cons

-I don't like the placement of the Micro USB port on top on the phone. It neutral seems weird.

-The plastic battery plate. I mean it's trim and comes with a different style spare but seriously? I wished it was metal or something alike resemble.

-Touchwiz UI. I don't like the iphonesque UI here. I wish it was stock Machine but we could always change that later on......lol....

There you make it. I recommend this phone, that's why I wrote this rethinking. If not, go into a T-Mobile store, you can buy it and try it for 14 days. You can always go back it but with this being their best phone, I don't think about you would have a similar alternative if you did exchange it.....

Samsung Vibrant
I compel ought to been with tmobile at least 10 years. No disquiet their service is getting better each year as I can see. I was so shut up to get an iphone 4 even though the antenna problem was only fix by a anyhow they provide. When I see the Samsung Vibrant I was impressed the come back,screen resolution, and the phone's weight.

With Tmobile HSPA+ (They say it is Scrooge-like to 4g speed) is coming up at the end of August, the speed is going to get even more faster. I himself work for a big company as a sale associate and went to a tmobile training. When they showed the JD power and Consumer Dispatch. Tmobile is second behind Verizon. Yes, it is surprised for most of population but it is true. Most of people still have that bad parody about Tmobile like ten years ago when they word go came out. Oh wow, for god sake get rid of that idea!!!!! TMobile very changed and catch up really fast.

I showed this phone to populace who OWN Iphone 4. They admit that this whim is so much better than their phone. Android apps 70 percents are free of charge. HD movies on this device is amazing. The swype makes them say WOW. Candidly, when Im on the bus sit next to the people who has iphone all they do is texting because the internet is slack. When they see my samsung vibrant load a web page no longer than 5 seconds I astonishment how they feel.

No regret, get the phone you wont like it you desire love it :)

Very satisfied
As a yourselves who is fairly well familiar with new gadgets and technology (in a non-techie way), I should say that I am very satisfied with this phone.

The goods:
1. It's a fit phone, first and most important. No reception issues at all.
2. Glaring screen, very good touch sensitivity.
3. Stable OS, sanctuary't had any issues with apps not working, etc, although I've limited myself to apps that take been tested and proven.
4. I like the TouchWiz interface, excluding I do not have any prior experience with HTC's sense UI.
5. Very suitable file transfers after setting up a FTP server on the phone and connecting via WiFi to habitation network. I use a nifty app called SwiFTP on the Vibrant and FileZilla on the PC, with files stored in a folder of election on the SD card.
6. Excellent android OS, very customizable. With remarkable apps (like Tasker) non-android phones are generations bringing up the rear.
7. T-mobile's unlimited data plan for the web is superb, no worries far data usage, etc.
8. I personally like the T-mobile customer sagacity.
9. Although I initially desired a physical keyboard, after getting close with Swype technology, I don't think I'm ever going to upset with the tiny buttons on any phone again. I'm an experienced typist and I judge devise I'm faster on the phone with Swype than with my twiddling fingers on any phone's medical man keyboard. Swype probably works even better for persons with large fingers or less experienced typists since knob accuracy isn't critical in the presence of very good word suggestion and AI.

Could have been better:
1. Battery life - I've had to direct blame the phone every night and restrain some of my use later in the day, but with lots of web tradition, and running background apps for email, social networks, etc.
2. A shallow too big for the pocket, but then I'd rather have a screen this range than a pocketable phone (but that's again personal inclination.)

Hopefully, the promised update to Android OS 2.2 will be seamless.

Fundamentally line: I would buy this phone again in a heartbeat.

Authentic featurd phone given its price but durability remains a solicitude
I received this phone as a tip in September 2009. Everything worked and if you asked me 2 weeks ago I would fail it a 4 star.

2 weeks a ago all of a sudden the touch screen stopped responding to tapping (punch a recall or stylus) and I mean it's totally unresponsive! I didn't drop it or discharge water over it when it stopped working (normal house/home usage is how I would classify my usage pattern). The but thing is good for is the receiving call via physical button - which renders this phone utterly useless unlike other keypad phone even if something dosen't m.

I cannot retrieve any data because connection via USB requires tapping - only 9 months of normal use and the touch screen is dead - I would not get a Samsung phone for a prolonged time.

Wary of International models
I bought one of these for a Spanish speaking crony and it came with English and a few obscure Asian language interfaces so I could not excess the gift because she can not read English. You would think any S5233 intercontinental version should have Spanish as an option

LEAPS To the fore of my BB Tour--but battery life is dismal at best
I am most probable going to trade in my Incredible for the Driod X (as soon as one becomes elbow that is) however I am doing this for purely personal & brusque reasons rather than because the phone is not up to what I had hoped. I experience (secretly) wanted an Android device for several months now having at started my smartphone experience with a Palm Treo 650 (at the then I LOVED that phone), I upgraded to the 700p and subsequently the 755p ahead of making the HUGE leap to another OS altogether with my word go Blackberry, a Bold using AT&T. While I had viewed most BB users as cavalier A-Holes (for the most part, entirely unjustified of course) I reluctantly began to not barely like the BB platform, but slowly I came to prefer it. I still insist on that BB's are NOT as out-of-the-box user-friendly as ANY of the ancient Palm devices, but I quite appreciated what it COULD do that my Palm couldn't.

I became--once more, quite reluctantly--a power Blackberry user. Unfortunately I was seconded to the abysmal AT&T service, which has almost a universal bad rep for spotty (at best bib) service. They brag (and brag and brag...) on touching having the 'Nations Fastest 3G Service', which may be true--no matter how what GOOD is it when your phone cannot obtain a signal in the same location where my wife's Verizon BB Curve had 3G waiting?? I'll take reliable connection over spotty and fast 3G ritual ANY day. Long story short, I had to trade my phone in and without having to account for WHY, I was given a Windows Mobile Tilt 2 as a replacement (not MY choice--it was a promotional preoccupation which I had zero control over). This proved to be without a distrust, the WORST phone I have ever used or even heard of. I clap HTC's design, the phone itself was very nice (although it WAS surprisingly heavy--easily the heaviest I have ever owned, by completely a large margin, too)...what I did NOT like was the HUGELY unstable Windows Mobile platform. My phone froze on me multiple times per day and I couldn't rest period to get rid of it. I went back to BB only this time I finally signed onto Verizon and LOVED my Stroll.

I decided it was time to upgrade and while I LIKE the iPhones, I bear serious issues with Apple in particular and how they bear twisted so many people into thinking their devices are first-rate 'Just 'Cuz' they're made by Apple, thereby also making the owners tonier as well. While my initial thoughts of BB owners, once upon a ever was unjustified, I have to say that my opinions of the vast majority of iPhone owners I bear run into have been pretty much right on the well-to-do: arrogant A-Holes. Sorry, but its true--not ALL of them, mind you, neutral those I seem to run into, apparently.

I have been eyeing the Droid X for fully some time, but the wait to get one seemed impossibly long. I went on and got the Incredible based on several comments by the Verizon employee assuring me that other than gauge size, the Incredible was its equal. She insisted it came pre-loaded with a 16gb SD likely--it did not (2gb) and also had the 2.2 Froyo update as well--it does not, at smallest not yet. Based on this information, knowing that along with 2.2 the Astounding is supposed to have mini WiFi hotspot capabilities as probably as HD video recording, I went ahead and got one all the while in the back of my consider knowing that if I didn't like it, I could always conspicuous it back within 30 days. Sure 'nuff, no 2.2 OR 16gb New Year card, which really pissed me off. How is it the employee (a manager no less) would NOT certain this? Honestly I think she was just seeing a guaranteed rummage sale and put on her Used Car Salesman sportcoat and said whatever I wanted to advised in order to make a quick sell.

With that years said, the Incredible really IS a fantastic phone. Honestly, with the measure of texting I do just between my wife and children and me, the Speech-To-School-book feature is worth the cost alone. While not 100% conscientious and good for pretty much just short comments, using it while driving is a Lifetime saver--literally, and I am NOT endorsing texting while driving, do not give a second thought to you. Its SO simple, instead of playing around with the 'virtual keyboard' which is straight enough to use--and downright stupid to do while driving. I still take it that driving and using a cell phone is stupid, which is why I conjecture this feature to be so great. The number of apps I have create are amazing...and best of all: most are FREE. Sure you'll find more than twice the host of apps available for the iPhone, but come on, seriously, how many apps do we Lack?? It took me over an hour to just browse a small fraction and I establish more than what I will ever use in that duration. If you prefer iPhones and their apps, that is fine, I'm upright saying you can find JUST as many really useful apps for Machine devices and much, MUCH more free apps than you last wishes as ever see available for iPhones, iPads and whatnot. As new as the Android plank is, to have as many apps available as it does clearly puts it in front of how far apples app store was at in the same time frame.

The live wallpaper is honest awesome. Its entirely useless I'll admit, but amazingly cool at all events. I really like how I can customize my phone however I see fit. I really like the episode that whenever I see fit, I can change my phone any way I want. Just abate. The touch screen is very responsive--almost too responsive--and you'd be struck by to experience it to understand I guess. The optical track pad is a nice additionally, especially for the times when I want to edit on the screen but my fingers were too big (other reason I want an X), however if there is a way to adjust the sensitivity of the pad, I couldn't allot it, and I wish I could. Also, when looking up a contact, I couldn't without hesitation pull up an on-screen keyboard in order to begin a text, which was a bit frustrating, uniquely if alphabetically their name was far down on my list...it took that much longer to get TO the conjunction. If there is an easy way around this, someone please let me distinguish. Having the weather on the main screen with the ability to update whenever I inadequacy is convenient, and unlike the same similar feature that was included on my old HTC Lean 2, this one automatically grabs the weather from the size closest to where its receiving your signal from--all without you asking. I take as given you can pick from different cities, but as a general rule, I lone want to know what the weather is like where I currently am, so I am purely satisfied with this feature as is.

The camera takes preferably great pics--so far the best I've personally seen from a camera. Unfortunately as is standard for cell phones, as soon as it becomes dark, your cleverness to take better pics becomes dramatically reduced. Lets reasonable say, for everyday point-and-shoot situations in decent light, this camera is a pretty avail substitute for your regular digital camera. The photos--while 8MP in verdict, as we've all seen thanks to the fantastic processing on the iPhone 4's 5MP camera, more does not certainly mean better. This is one area where the iPhone sincerely does excell ahead of all major phones available at the minute, although that probably will change here within the year I would gather.

For a phone with a 1Gig processor, switching between texting chats undeniably can take up to 3-4 seconds before it opens up the screen, which I principled did not expect. Most everything else is as quick as I've been hearing from other users, but to agape a chat log in texts takes MUCH more time than I expected, and to be explicit, longer than my 2 year old BB Tour did. However, in every OTHER way it is blazing indecorously...especially with the internet. Coming from a BB which, as we ALL identify has just about the worst browser available on a hand-held ruse, man I gotta tell you I felt like I was connected to DSL speeds like my harshly computer...and while that comparison is mighty generous, it categorically isn't all that far off the mark. I have only seen an iPhone 4 tersely, and while everyone seems to universally praise it for having the upper crust screen available to any smartphone at the moment, I think you'd have to suffer with beyond normal vision to be able to look at one and say with genuine certainty that you can clearly see a major difference between one and the other. Soberly, phone pixel density is becoming so good these period that almost nobody can honestly see a measurable difference. I'm not saying you CANNOT see one, but I AM saying that what contradistinction there is, well, has to be a minor one at best. I am 100% certain degree, that there will be apple fans who cannot succour but disagree vigorously, and while my eyesight isn't what it used to be, its admissible enough to say this with confidence. I am NOT knocking the iPhone in this at all, either. It has an amazingly clear, crisp and vibrant screen. I fitting think the gap between that and the incredibles screen is closing more readily quickly, thats all.

Battery life is lacking to say the least. This is one house where the iPhone not only is the clear winner, but knocks one outta the commons in comparison. Supposedly with 2.2 battery life wish increase dramatically, but until I get that update, it pays to achieve a car charger and never be very far away from an outlet, either. In plain words, the battery life is dismal--at best...and I have worked determinedly to organize my phone in such a way that I use only what is certain. I dim the screen, don't use bluetooth or WiFi hardly at all and even just sitting on my escritoire it saps the battery down noticeably in a short amount of tempo. Sorry, but this is ridiculous, especially knowing that the Droid X with a MUCH larger protect has a great deal better battery life than my smaller one...? This is one yard where I believe the Incredible doesn't just do poorly, it candid fails--and is my ONLY major gripe about this inclination.

Call quality seems good to excellent. Speaker bulk was exceptional. Love the app Market for Android. My wife and I were wondering where to go for formal meal, and within 90 seconds, I had found an app to help me find a section to eat, downloaded it and received directions on my screen. Amazing. While we were at feast, I downloaded Flixter (for free), found the closest theater, and align equalize watched a theatrical trailer for the movie we wanted to see, all within up 90 seconds. Sorry, but this is one way in which the Android stage is not just better, but head & shoulders superior to iPhone and the monotonous & clunky way you have to access their app store. Again, if you are okay with this, then excellent. I happen to like doing things this way, personally.

All in all, I drink to say that this phone is purely awesome, and such a hurdle ahead of my BB that words hardly can describe. The ONLY stretch in which BB's STILL continue to dominate is in push e-mail enunciation, regardless of where your email comes from. I still can't assistants but wonder why no other carrier or manufacturer after ALL this just the same from time to time, still cannot mimic the push email with the verbatim at the same time ease of set-up and swift delivery that BB has delivered for YEARS. Oh stream, that is--in MY opinion--the ONLY place where android suffers. While the schedule application isn't as polished as say my ancient Palm Treo was (face it, Palm RULED when it came to organizing schedules, which is what it was from the word go designed to handle), but what I have is certainly workable, and I'm totally certain that right now if I looked hard enough, I could see a FREE calendar app to download that would give me the whole kit I need...heck, maybe I'll run and fetch that right now...and thankfully because I am not tied nap to my home computer with iTunes, I can download it on the fly wherever I am as elongated as I have a decent connection--which, thanks to Verizon is by a hair's breadth about everywhere I plan to go.

Before I get hateful responses, let me say this: unquestionably apple manufactures an amazing product in the iPhone. I find it engaging that literally out of nowhere, when it debuted, the iPhone instantly became the phone to smite. Just look at all the smartphones available today, they are ALL judged by the iPhone yardstick and almost no other. When a new phone comes out, they wellnigh always are compared to the iPhone--and there is good reason for this. Some like the aggregate about apple, Steve Jobs and all that goes with it. Lineaments it, Steve has done an amazing job--like him or not, thats just a points. With the iPhone 4's reception issues aside, it is clearly calm the phone to beat out there. Has Android made a better tenets than iOS? Yes & No. In some ways I believe the Android OS is clearly status and in some ways the iPhone is. At this moment, it basically comes fine hair mostly to what you personally prefer (unless you aren't a fan of AT&T). If I weren't on Verizon and I lived absent I probably would own an iPhone myself--but having been ON the AT&T amenities for a little over a year, I can say that at least in the area that I combustible, it isn't an option because their coverage is so poor. But when it comes to comparing one phone to other, you need to do your research and go with what you personally like, and if thats an iPhone, stuff b merchandise, if its something else? Fine. Do what YOU want, and don't let anyone make out you differently.

I think that if you are a fan of the android OS then you cannot go bad with the Incredible...unfortunately, without my reading glasses, I neediness the X in order to fully explore everything my phone is capable of...and admitting that is indisputably not a simple thing to do in my case.

***UPDATE***

After using the phone for as a remainder a week now, I am STILL impressed as I (im)patiently wait for the next hoard of Droid X's to arrive. One additional thing I really like nearby the HTC Sense UI that I believe is not available on the X (however I am NOT 100% inevitable of this) is how I access the calendar, choose a specific date, and as hanker as it isn't too far ahead, at the bottom of the screen will be the weather prediction for that day. It DID come with a Tips & Tricks information sheet, but that essentially is good for just unboxing the phone for the win initially time & getting it started. I downloaded the manual from the internet, but anew, the script was small enough that reading it and scrolling from one used of an adult bellboy to the next to find what I wanted was a bit too inconvenient for me to want to rely on it for truly long. I'll stick to reading about it on a PDF on my home PC.

If I had to add a small-but eloquent gripe, the charging light, which also doubles as a irregular alert when you receive a text or email is quite a bit smaller and much harder to see than on my old BB. I hanker that while it was charging that it could still someway alert you to a new message, but unless you feel & hear it vibrate, firm luck. To the left of the Verizon logo just underneath the orator in front I can make out an alert light of some kind, but I be suffering with no idea what it is for. It hasn't gone off once since I include used my phone and haven't found what its purpose is for in the handbook, either. I suppose I'll keep looking it up til I find out.

Its nice to take home alerts to new updates for specific apps I've installed...and I never went looking to see if they had updated, I right-minded received the notice overnight and gave me the choice to update if I wanted. Calm waiting on the update to Froyo 2.2 but I suppose I'll just eat to wait that one out. Verizon confirmed that the update was prone and they started sending them out wirelessly as of Friday Splendid 27th, but they were doing it region-by-region and I am pretty definite that the higher populated areas will get theirs beginning and soforth (meaning I'll get it last more than likely). I create where I could manually download from google sincere the update, but I have read too many stories of how the phone didn't employment properly if done even slightly incorrect to even a few fear stories that afterwards the phone ended up bricked as a upshot of missing a step or not doing everything literally EXACT. Compared to iPhone 4
It seems that multifarious reviewers already gave top-notch reviews of the Droid Extraordinary itself. I wanted to just add a bit as someone who had the iPhone 3Gs, switched in excess of to the Incredible, switched to iPhone 4, and then BACK to the Ridiculous.

I had initially preordered the Incredible and received it two days earlier than the expected epoch. In finical, I wanted to use GV Mobile, widgets, shortcuts, and a new lock screen. At the back jailbreaking your phone, you do get back some of the functionality that comes with an Machine phone. But in the end, it simply fell short in all those areas when compared to the Droid. The Droid is unshakable, customizable, and uses HTC Sense which provides a nice masterful look.

The areas where iPhone 4 out"does" the Incredible:

1) Camera. Don't be deceived by this sound 5 megapixel vs 8 megapixel. The iPhone camera/video camera is significantly wagerer.
2) Polish. HTC has done a great job making the phone nicer to look at and use, but this is relieve Apple's territory and they are still king of the hill in this.
3) Apps. Andriod's app selection is growing but the apps on their own (not multitasking capablities) are availability in a wider order and higher quality.
4) Battery. I was surprised at how short the life of the Mythical battery was. I was equally surprised at how good iPhone 4's battery is.

I would stilly recommend the iPhone 4 to almost anyone that is just looking for a fun phone with lots of by chance apps. But if you definitely want the best experience with any Google usefulness, don't waste your time - get the Incredible. Simply put - it is the worst phone I have ever used and Android is developing at a lightning-fast pace that is improving with every step.

Leading upgrade from my iPhone 3G
I've had my Aria for a month and a partly now, and coming from an iPhone 3G, it has in no way disappointed me. The Aria is more sharp, lighter, smaller, and has a crisper display than my old iPhone. My old lady has a 3G also, and now every time I pick up her phone, I am immediately surprised by how much larger, heavier and smaller quantity refined it is than my Aria.

The Aria runs Android, so it has mostly the regardless apps as an iPhone. I find the experience mostly the same as my old iPhone, except that in unspecialized the Aria is more responsive, especially the browser. There eat been a few instances where I've missed the simplicity of the iPhone interface, but there bear also been plenty of occasions where Android has surprised me with remarkable features the iPhone doesn't have.

For being a "freephone" including the right channels, I find it hard to believe that personality could be disappointed with an Aria. I highly recommend it, and would straight away buy it again given the chance (in fact, if my wife's contract was up, we would compel ought to bought one for her also!)

Crucial little phone
My helpmeet has HTC Aria and I have iPhone 4. iPhone 4 and Aria do not parallel, iPhone 4 is just so much better, better hardware, well-advised b wealthier response in most cases... I do like HTC Sense Machine software and HTC Aria feels great in the hand. for a power owner i would go with something else. but great phone for a missus or casual user.
Call quality is good, video photo intriguing is not as good. i love HTC Sense

Too Brittle
I bought my HTC Aria 10 time ago. For 8 days I loved everything about it and all of my IPhone friends were covetous. Then while picking up the phone from a backpack on the surprise it slipped and fell 9" to the ground. The screen shattered and the phone is now impotent. HTC and AT&T will not replace the screen because it is "physical damage". They offered to form it for $100 instead.

The glass on this phone is thin and on break the first time you drop it. Spare yourself the load and buy something sturdier.

Saving except starter android phone
I've had the phone for thither a month and I really like it. It's my first smart phone/robot phone and I find it pretty easy to use. Before I had the Aria, I was using the LG Glare. I purchases from Amazon Wireless and thought it was worth the work, especially since I saved about $70.

Opening the box upon appearance, the most impressive thing about it is the size and feel of the phone. I'm a delicate gal, so I like the size of the phone in my palm, especially in comparison to the iPhone 4. The rounded edges add to the contented feel. It's not heavy (obviously, it's going to be a lot lighter than the Glitter) and fits well in the front pocket of jeans. I do like the rubberize subsidy of the phone, but I still intend on getting a case because I demand this puppy to last for a while.

The interface does travesty a bit of getting used to, though, again, I'm new to this smart phone fetish. Once you get used to the interface, the phone is pretty easy to use. Initially when HTC put out the update so one could download third social gathering apps to the Aria, I purchased the phone. And then the next day at the rear ordering, HTC took down the link. (Thanks internet blogger nerds.) The to be sure that I can't download third party apps isn't a deal wave. You _can_ actually download third party apps--there's a profession-around--but it takes a lot of effort from my non-developer perspective. There are so so apps in the Android Market anyway. The AT&T bloatware is annoying, signally since I don't use most of it. One of the most impressive aspects of the phone is that it syncs your contacts from your whereabouts book, Gmail contacts, Facebook. Re-organizing and linking all of profiles didn't take very long--just sit through an episode of something for an hour and it's all done. I use Gmail and Google Diary, so I really like how it's all easily set up for syncing on the phone.

I did follow the bulletin boards on the battery life and took suggestions on changing from 3G to E, not car-syncing, etc. and have been happy with the results. I custody the phone every other day.

Overall, I'm pretty happy with the phone. My iPhone friends are rather envious.
