Customer Reviews

Quite disappointing product
I was surprised by the mainly positive reviews for this phone. I am with a small supervision agency that received about 50 of these phones as a miscellaneous upgrade to our older ones. After only about a month of use the complaints from the bulk of users were pretty signficant. We're currently working with our Verizon rep. to receive them all replaced.

The main problem we've found is that when you are talking on the phone, your ear when one pleases come in contact with the touch pad. It's pretty common for that to either start dialing different call and/or hanging-up the current one. The operating system is also altogether slow with signficant lag time as you click on icons. Equally, a slight nudge on the key pad, say while it is sitting in your pocket, bequeath cause the screen to turn on; which runs the battery nap pretty quickly.

I would avoid this model. For HTC's welfare, I hope that the Touch Pro2 is a big improvement over this model.
Woman's dialect divine business oriented Windows Mobile smart phone.
Glorious business oriented Windows Mobile smart phone.

The HTC Touch Pro 2 is offered by all the important US carriers at this time. Some like Sprint from retained its international features so you can use CDMA and international protocols.

I've been using cellular phones since the Modern Mobile Phone System (AMPS)was introduced in 1983. With the enhancements provided by HTC atop Microsoft Windows Plastic v6.1, the Touch Pro 2 is an absolute delight for the businessperson. With one glaring rarity, it can be used as a substitute for a laptop computer in many circumstances. The blockage is the lack of mouse support in the Qualcomm Bluetooth stack. Bluetooth keyboards industry fine, but mouse functions are not supported. In my eyes, this represents a important oversight which I hope will be rectified in future ROM revisions.

Parenthesis from that, the HTC Touch Pro 2 represents the state of the art in smart phones. It has a excellent 3.6-inch TFT-LCD touch-sensitive screen with 480 X 800 WVGA unshakeability. The screen also tilts which makes airline tray or restaurant flatland movie watching, RSS feed reading and (where possible) web browsing a amusement. It also makes working on business documents in Microsoft Facile Office, DataViz or SoftMaker products a pleasure. There is a five-row, toboggan-out QWERTY keyboard that is the best I've ever had on a cell phone. While you can't touch category, you can do a pretty good job of two finger pecking.

Some carriers, over like Sprint, offer the HTC Touch Pro 2 with a standard 3.5mm audio jack. What a preference to finally just be able to plug in a pair of ordinary headset! The HTC Touch Pro 2 accepts microSDHC cards up to 16 GB. (I presume 32 GB is in the same way supported.) You can put plenty of music and video on the card, have loving terrible audio and a truly luscious screen. I am really amazed at only how well movies look on that screen. You'll be best served with a third fete media viewer like the CorePlayer.

The design is very effort-friendly. Some functions, such as browsing with the included Opera browser are made to order to finger swipes for navigating on and between pages and sites. My intimate preference, however, remains the stylus. The onscreen keyboard is the tucker I've ever worked on and works especially well with fingertips. You don't father to be dead-on to type a character. The logic does a very pure job of figuring out what character you intended to strike.

The CPU is the same Qualcomm MSM7200A 528 MHz adapted to in the Touch Pro and other HTC cell phones. It gets the job done, but it is not the fastest processor on the impediment. The allotment of 512 MB ROM and 288 MB RAM is reasonably generous, but like simoleons, you can never have enough.

The Touch Pro 2 measures 4.57 X 2.33 X 0.66 inches and weighs 6.3 ounces. I capture it in a shirt pocket and don't find the size or weight to be a problem.

Bluetooth and WiFi vocation just fine on this unit.

Some carriers, once more Sprint is an example, keep the GPS enabled. While Sprint has an unrequisite paid navigation program, I use my Touch Pro 2 GPS with Google Maps and Microsoft Bing. I no longer use a solitary GPS unit this is all I need.

Output volume is excellent and there is a best-seller conference phone feature built in. Put the unit on its face and the to microphones are started. Fidelity and noise cancellation are pretty seemly. It is a nice feature for those who use it.

The 3.2 megapixel camera is nothing spectacular. There are no ironmongery buttons for the camera and it is both slower and more inconvenient to use than one triggered by a metal goods button.

There is TV output through an optional cable and a classify of other features that some may find useful.

A 1500 mAh battery-operated is standard and it will last through a day of strenuous usage. But all-embracing, plan on charging this unit every day or two if you make much use of it. Buying a favour battery or an external battery is a wise idea.

Overall, I sire found performance to be excellent in every regard. Teamed with a Bluetooth keyboard, I can frequently leave my laptop at home. Web browsing is a delight with Opera, Skyfire or Microsoft Internet Pioneer. Memory problems have been non-existent for me no matter how myriad applications I've launched. (I do continue the well established habit of invoking the Criticize Manager from time to time.) The reset button is beneath the back cover which is, in my opinion, a design error - but I shelter't had to use it much. When I need it, though, it is something of a pain. You deceive to remove the stylus first, then the back cover. It is not a gratifying task under any circumstance, especially when the lighting is low.

Do I like the HTC Touch Pro 2? You bet. I make up it is the best smart phone I've ever used. It gets nearer to the grail of the highly portable computer that has been envisioned since the 1970s. Yes, the tube is already filling with devices running the much faster AMD Snapdragon processor. HTC is not far from to launch a unit with Snapdragon and a 4.3 inch vet. I suspect that the next model of the Touch Pro will be launching but more than a year from now and I suspect I will be straining on my leash to get one.

In the meantime, the HTC Touch Pro 2 is a delusion to work with. If they fix the Bluetooth stack to work with a mouse or if a third fete follows through with its promise to release a replacement amass, the HTC Touch Pro 2 will truly be a hand-sized laptop replacement. It is entirely the marvel and a delight to use.

Not advantage for the money
I got the HTC touch pro from Sprint and I am surely not happy with it. Not sure if its becos its running Windows Movable, but its just not very intuitive and user friendly. There is no way to refashion it on from the face of the phone and you need to do it by pressing it on the top which is not bleeding convenient. The apps run very slowly and the touch screen operation is then very frustrating - it does things that you didnt in view to do. The bluetooth operation is very flaky. I have also had problems of the phone locking up a few times and you bear to reboot it. Do not expect the touch to be intuitive and precise like the iPhone, you transfer be disappointed. The most frustrating thing is, its very slow in responding when you are searching for a connection or typing something to find someone. I have also noticed that there is a down while making or receiving a call - like you have to collapse it a few secs to respond. So, overall I am very unhappy with this mechanism considering the price.
Fine fantastic do-everything business phone
I had desire when the Tilt was announced, and bought one this summer when it reached an affordable payment on ebay. Then, two months after carrying the tilt nearly, a work colleague asked me if I wanted to buy his HTC Touch Pro for $150. He is a very salaam to cell phone person, so I accepted the offer, without realizing neutral how good this deal was until I got it home and started using it! Wow! This gem does the whole shebang an IT professional would ever want to do! I recharge it every other day, and I finance USB recharging accessories at work and at home, so if I ever get caught in a dialogue or WiFi session that lasts more than two hours, then I only plug it in at the next stop. Mine has the Raphael RRE 6.5 ROM overloaded, and it is fast and stable. No regrets at all on this purchase.

I will memorialize this one until the HTC Touch Pro 2 (second generation Tilt) gets nap to an affordable price. I love this phone.

Very compelling set of software tools for a professional
This phone is practically perfect for a professional. The battery is the main disadvantage, as I need to assessment it daily (even two times a day, sometimes). Also, I miss the headphone jack (it has single an USB port for charging, sync and also to use the included, but proprietary headphone).

To boot that, the interface is very cool and we have all a professional requirements on a mobile computer:
* Outlook e-mail, with full substructure for Office attachments (it as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
* Complete unification with Exchange, including security policies
* SD card encryption strut
* Nice integration between contacts, SMS, and e-mail
* Support for Microsoft Communicator (Pep Messenger software), and Skype

I almost forgot: It lacks a GPS software, but it has an integrated GPS. Late installing Garmin XT, you can have a nice complete GPS also.

Hands-fine hair the best case out there for your HTC!!!
I beloved love love this case!!! It is perfect! Snaps on, stays on, and feels significant. My phone is wearing it right now and looks very handsome. It's matte rubber wrap up dispose of hides scratches and abuse.

It took me forever to find a the actuality for my phone that worked because of the slide keyboard. They all slipped off and didn't in actuality protect my expensive HTC. This case is very well regard out and just plain works. I don't use the belt clip so I didn't put it on (I preference that you have that option) but it loos to be a quality smack.

Seriously, if you have an HTC Touch Pro, get this case. You won't regret it. (And if you do you can send it break to Amazon, so you have nothing to loose!)
Correct fit, nice case
This at all events is perfect for my HTC Touch Pro. Nice black finish. You won't be disappointed.
Does not fit!
I purchased this piece simply to protect my HTC Touch PRO knowing that I wasn`t buying a exact nice or sofisticated case. The problen is that it simply doesn`t fit. I principal thought I had received a case for another model, but no! The back encase not only does not snap on but also the holes for the camera and LED manifestation are approximately 3 mm misaligned thus obstructing partially the lens and unambiguously the flash. Knowing this is a cheap case, the built attribute is simply too bad, borders are not painted black and therefore show the underlying spotless plastic.
So if you have the luck to get one that fits perhaps it fulfils its use.
AN general touch screen cell phone in the advanced-age cell phone era.
Pros: diminutive size, nice slide-out keyboard. Touch screen, great daytime shots. Snazzy and flash light. Dial pad. messaging format. All the other features such as brave station, notepad ( aka graffiti. Can't do without it:.main reason I bought this room phone as compared to others), internet browsing tool is bloody handy. WiFi. Easy turning to flight mode. Daunt clock and music player are really nice.
Cons: bleeding poor speaker voice quality. Poor night crack quality. Messaging gets messed up if you try to open and type on the keyboard in the midst of messaging. Notes are very haphazard, no real date busted for notes entered on notepad, you have to browse them one at a days to get to what you want. The People tab is not very responsive to touch input, neither is toggling concerning pictures in photo album as fast as iPhone is.
Overall, if iPhone were a tad bit smaller and had a creep out keyboard, I'd have bought it...but for now I am sticking with AT&T Fuze/ HTC Touch Pro.....Looks like when all is said the iPhone killer is there: Palm Pre. Let's see how it performs in the next few weeks following the launch
In the final analysis Liked This Item
I had purchased this element and another more expensive item from a different beginning and I would have to say, this one was the better one.

It does not fit my HTC Touch Quadrilateral. It is 1/4 thicker. So the description of the product is not correct.
It hysteria Sprint HTC Touch Pro without needing a new back cover
Tiresome to following other reviewer's suggestion to condition the battery by wearisome it all then recharge. Will update the result later.
celebrated battery
This mobile is well worth the money. I charge it and it lasts for a long continually. Not sure exactly how long but long. I would definetly buy from them once again.
didn't fit
It worked when it came to turning the phone on, yet I could not fit the to cover on to my phone after inserting this battery, as it was too congealed. SO it was pointless. Oh well
Ardent!!! If YOU ARE LOOKIN FOR A SPARE BATTERY FOR YOUR PHONE BUY THIS ONE!!!!
I was looking for a leftover battery because I am addicted to my phone and use it for everything all the time. My foregoing battery died after 5 hours of continuous use due to me recharging while it was not perfectly discharged of all energy. This new battery serves its purpose and carry on all day. Just make sure to charge it only when it is perfectly dead. After several complete discharges and recharges your freestyle will be in optimal condition and last you all day or even longer!!!!

Fitting charger/sync base
You can ask your Touch Pro, Sync it at the same time, and charge a secondary mobile as well. Not the most attractive item, but it does the job well ample.
Sent the misguided item
They sent me the faulty charger, I got one for a blackberry. It was a mistake, from the looks of it, by the labeling on the box. The bigger sticker said HTC, the smaller one with the barcode said blackberry. Benefit was easy though and the refund was quick.
Works fortunately
I barely use it to charge phone and batteries at night, and it does that in hurriedly order.
Significant for the desk
This obsession is awesome. If you have a 2nd battery it will charge it and it doesn't deprivation a usb cable to charge both the phone and battery. Just promote it into the wall.
HTC Touch Pro Burden Cradle with 2nd battery support
I truly like having the backup battery on hand. Job requires hours of talk era. Nice to "dock" safely when not in use. Looks nice on the escritoire rather than cords everywhere!
