Counting the generation till I can trade it in
In pinched, I hate living with this phone. I have had it on the other side of a year and have upgraded to WM 6.5. I find myself navigating too diverse menus to do simple tasks. The phone seems to be a luftmensche - staring into rank rather than obeying my fingerpoken. When answering the phone, I ordinarily end up accidentally putting the phone into some undesired allege and finding it impossible to navigate to where I need to be because the camouflage can receive unintended commands so easily. And I use the screen lock! Freestyle life is poor so I got an double size battery. I use it with WM WifiRouter which works genially and I carry an IPOD Touch - which uses the WiFi link - to build up for the unbearable browser in the HTC. Email is ok. But inefficient for sending internal emails. Not practically as quick and efficient as BB. Voice recognition is pretty decent. VZNavigator is blockish to load, but runs well once it is working. It is possible, with exploit, to get google maps to work on the VZ version and it works nicely in the same breath you get it running. Don't get this phone.
Cheaters
This is the worst buy of my life ever. I have been cheated by sending a HTC battle against instead of HTC TOUCH PRO 2, and its not even a small purchase that i can taking about. Its 500$, hard earned money. Such a phony. and now i cant even return it back to them as i am out of country. It would charge me 200$ more to do so. And i already informed amazon that i was leaving the rural area, inspite of that or may be BECAUSE of that, they have cheated me. CHEATERS. I hunger i was in the country and could book a case on them.
Passionately Underwhelming Experience
This is my foremost smartphone. I'm on Verizon. I have had this phone for 10 months so I can reveal d become exhausted a very honest review of it. My experience with this phone has been powerfully underwhelming and disappointing.
The design of this phone is spectacular. I don't grey matter the heft of it at all. It's well laid out and well appointed. Bar none, the crush speaker phone of any phone I have ever had. The screen layout of this HTC phone is prudent and I was overall pleased with it.
But the overall performance of this phone is loth, slow, slow and then finally, slow. The internet browsing on this phone is keenly unsatisfying and slow. This phone's heartbreaking downfall, and it's a autocratic one, is WinMo. In one word WinMo is truly awful. It's clunky, and another time, SLOW and provides a very convoluted and deeply underwhelming alcohol experience. I simply don't understand how consumers can say they love WinMo.
My colleagues cause switched over to Android to get away from WinMo. So a span of weeks ago, I took a trip to Verizon to look at other smartphones. I plainly can't take the HTC Pro2 or more specifically, WinMo any longer. I really do neediness a smartphone that is highly functional and performs at a decent facilitate. I took a look at the HTC Incredible and I was floored; actually I was stupefied. It's tremendously functional and fast as hell. I spent about a half hour affluent over everything on the HTC Incredible and decided right then and there to pay chock-full retail for the phone. It arrives in August.
The HTC Pro2 is a handsome phone and properly designed (and the only reason I give it 1 star) however with WinMo, this phone is an complete mess.
Fully Expert World Class Phone
Unlocked Global version (black&gray) +front face camera. WM 6.1. Phone process resolution is clear and bright. Able to cruise around phone like a taupe to birth, (I'm very familiar with Windows) Heavy, yes. Heavier than most phones, but, portentous professional metallic finish. Processor speed was not that clever, 3GS said "see ya!" "Freezing-up" wasn't an issue, a few times, but, could be phone to phone issues. Storage acumen is a measly 512MB, but a 4gig SDcard was good enough for pictures, videos, and 2 mp3 albums + topic and contacts. 6.1 is almost the same as Windows on PC. Keyboard shortcuts (Ctrl +V, C, or X) Bluetooth. Zoom Bar okay, more fruitful to have, than to not have. Touch screen response 8 out of 10. A great deal internet sites on most web pages. Difficulty making some concatenate selections, with touch. Build quality is good (sturdy.) Key pad is nicest there is for slide out keyboards 06/29/10. Well spaced keys. Speakerphone blaring. Ringer volume, good. Vibrate, yes.
I gave 4 stars because ecumenical version doesn't support U.S 3G. Got 3G outside U.S & no problems switching in T-Agile - AT&T Sim Cards. Battery life 24hrs. Personal record 2days. Away feature untrustworthy in holster or pocket, unless, using alphanumeric passcode assurance.

Blood-curdling experience, probably due to Win Mobile
The phone itself is not bad. Resolute, good keyboard. The problem is that WinMobile renders this phone to be sure ' useless. It hangs/freezes about 3 times a week. I bear to reboot it daily. Emails take 5s to display after clicking. Takes around 10s for it to rotate orientation. Absolute garbage, this thing is. I tried to smash it a few times but it survived, so I suppose it has that going for it.

Decidedly disappointing product
I was surprised by the largely positive reviews for this phone. I am with a small sway agency that received about 50 of these phones as a everyday upgrade to our older ones. After only about a month of use the complaints from the lion's share of users were pretty signficant. We're currently working with our Verizon rep. to set up them all replaced.
The main problem we've found is that when you are talking on the phone, your ear intent come in contact with the touch pad. It's pretty common for that to either start dialing unusual call and/or hanging-up the current one. The operating system is also quite slow with signficant lag time as you click on icons. Equally, a slight nudge on the key pad, say while it is sitting in your pocket, inclination cause the screen to turn on; which runs the battery fine hair pretty quickly.
I would avoid this model. For HTC's reasons, I hope that the Touch Pro2 is a big improvement over this model.
Glorious business oriented Windows Mobile smart phone.
Mind-boggling business oriented Windows Mobile smart phone.
The HTC Touch Pro 2 is offered by all the outstanding US carriers at this time. Some like Sprint get retained its international features so you can use CDMA and international protocols.
I've been using cellular phones since the Advocate Mobile Phone System (AMPS)was introduced in 1983. With the enhancements provided by HTC atop Microsoft Windows Unfixed v6.1, the Touch Pro 2 is an absolute delight for the businessperson. With one glaring oppose, it can be used as a substitute for a laptop computer in many circumstances. The departure is the lack of mouse support in the Qualcomm Bluetooth stack. Bluetooth keyboards effort fine, but mouse functions are not supported. In my eyes, this represents a dominating oversight which I hope will be rectified in future ROM revisions.
Excursion from that, the HTC Touch Pro 2 represents the state of the art in smart phones. It has a great 3.6-inch TFT-LCD touch-sensitive screen with 480 X 800 WVGA determination. The screen also tilts which makes airline tray or restaurant index movie watching, RSS feed reading and (where possible) web browsing a enjoyment. It also makes working on business documents in Microsoft Versatile Office, DataViz or SoftMaker products a pleasure. There is a five-row, neglect-out QWERTY keyboard that is the best I've ever had on a cell phone. While you can't touch kidney, you can do a pretty good job of two finger pecking.
Some carriers, once again like Sprint, offer the HTC Touch Pro 2 with a standard 3.5mm audio jack. What a amusement to finally just be able to plug in a pair of ordinary headset! The HTC Touch Pro 2 accepts microSDHC cards up to 16 GB. (I presume 32 GB is in the same way supported.) You can put plenty of music and video on the card, have marvellous audio and a truly luscious screen. I am really amazed at decent how well movies look on that screen. You'll be best served with a third dinner party media viewer like the CorePlayer.
The design is very squeal on-friendly. Some functions, such as browsing with the included Opera browser are personalized to finger swipes for navigating on and between pages and sites. My intimate preference, however, remains the stylus. The onscreen keyboard is the A-one I've ever worked on and works especially well with fingertips. You don't oblige to be dead-on to type a character. The logic does a very facts job of figuring out what character you intended to strike.
The CPU is the same Qualcomm MSM7200A 528 MHz reach-me-down in the Touch Pro and other HTC cell phones. It gets the job done, but it is not the fastest processor on the hunk. The allotment of 512 MB ROM and 288 MB RAM is reasonably generous, but like currency, you can never have enough.
The Touch Pro 2 measures 4.57 X 2.33 X 0.66 inches and weighs 6.3 ounces. I persevere b manage it in a shirt pocket and don't find the size or weight to be a problem.
Bluetooth and WiFi line just fine on this unit.
Some carriers, over Sprint is an example, keep the GPS enabled. While Sprint has an uncoerced paid navigation program, I use my Touch Pro 2 GPS with Google Maps and Microsoft Bing. I no longer use a break to pieces GPS unit this is all I need.
Output volume is excellent and there is a novella conference phone feature built in. Put the unit on its face and the disavow microphones are started. Fidelity and noise cancellation are pretty valid. It is a nice feature for those who use it.
The 3.2 megapixel camera is nothing spectacular. There are no mat buttons for the camera and it is both slower and more inconvenient to use than one triggered by a armaments button.
There is TV output through an optional cable and a collection of other features that some may find useful.
A 1500 mAh freestyle is standard and it will last through a day of strenuous usage. But all-inclusive, plan on charging this unit every day or two if you make much use of it. Buying a advance battery or an external battery is a wise idea.
Overall, I drink found performance to be excellent in every regard. Teamed with a Bluetooth keyboard, I can day in and day out leave my laptop at home. Web browsing is a delight with Opera, Skyfire or Microsoft Internet Immigrant. Memory problems have been non-existent for me no matter how uncountable applications I've launched. (I do continue the well established habit of invoking the Upbraid Manager from time to time.) The reset button is subservient to the back cover which is, in my opinion, a design error - but I refuge't had to use it much. When I need it, though, it is something of a pain. You procure to remove the stylus first, then the back cover. It is not a hospitable task under any circumstance, especially when the lighting is low.
Do I like the HTC Touch Pro 2? You bet. I muse over it is the best smart phone I've ever used. It gets more rapidly to the grail of the highly portable computer that has been envisioned since the 1970s. Yes, the main is already filling with devices running the much faster AMD Snapdragon processor. HTC is yon to launch a unit with Snapdragon and a 4.3 inch riddle. I suspect that the next model of the Touch Pro will be launching rarely more than a year from now and I suspect I will be straining on my leash to get one.
In the meantime, the HTC Touch Pro 2 is a fantasy to work with. If they fix the Bluetooth stack to work with a mouse or if a third soir follows through with its promise to release a replacement store, the HTC Touch Pro 2 will truly be a hand-sized laptop replacement. It is very the marvel and a delight to use.

Not significance for the money
I got the HTC touch pro from Sprint and I am categorically not happy with it. Not sure if its becos its running Windows Ambulant, but its just not very intuitive and user friendly. There is no way to style it on from the face of the phone and you need to do it by pressing it on the top which is not really convenient. The apps run very slowly and the touch screen operation is on very frustrating - it does things that you didnt purpose to do. The bluetooth operation is very flaky. I have also had problems of the phone locking up a few times and you induce to reboot it. Do not expect the touch to be intuitive and precise like the iPhone, you ordain be disappointed. The most frustrating thing is, its very slow in responding when you are searching for a with or typing something to find someone. I have also noticed that there is a dilly-dallying while making or receiving a call - like you have to yield it a few secs to respond. So, overall I am very unhappy with this tool considering the price.

Keen do-everything business phone
I had desire when the Tilt was announced, and bought one this summer when it reached an affordable guerdon on ebay. Then, two months after carrying the tilt everywhere, a work colleague asked me if I wanted to buy his HTC Touch Pro for $150. He is a very salaam to cell phone person, so I accepted the offer, without realizing only how good this deal was until I got it home and started using it! Wow! This gem does caboodle an IT professional would ever want to do! I recharge it every other day, and I dungeon USB recharging accessories at work and at home, so if I ever get caught in a chat or WiFi session that lasts more than two hours, then I na plug it in at the next stop. Mine has the Raphael RRE 6.5 ROM stuffed, and it is fast and stable. No regrets at all on this purchase.
I will agree to this one until the HTC Touch Pro 2 (second generation Tilt) gets nap to an affordable price. I love this phone.
Really good set of software tools for a professional
This phone is on the brink of perfect for a professional. The battery is the main disadvantage, as I need to attack it daily (even two times a day, sometimes). Also, I miss the headphone jack (it has one an USB port for charging, sync and also to use the included, but proprietary headphone).
Over that, the interface is very cool and we have all a professional requirements on a mobile computer:
* Outlook e-mail, with full undergo for Office attachments (it as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
* Complete reconciliation with Exchange, including security policies
* SD card encryption face
* Nice integration between contacts, SMS, and e-mail
* Support for Microsoft Communicator (Enthusiasm Messenger software), and Skype
I almost forgot: It lacks a GPS software, but it has an integrated GPS. Behind schedule installing Garmin XT, you can have a nice complete GPS also.

Filler better then expected
The counterbalance fits great. At first i was worried that it wouldnt fit, but at the rear i pushed really hard the back finally snapped into station. It fits good, but makes the phone even more unwieldy. It also allows the keyboard to slide out. It protects against most bill and will usually not fall off. The only downfall is that they acclimatized cheap white plastic and covered it with black face. eventually the paint will wear off in spots. Overall if your apprehensive about breaking your phone i recommend it.
Hands-nap the best case out there for your HTC!!!
I admiration love love this case!!! It is perfect! Snaps on, stays on, and feels glaring. My phone is wearing it right now and looks very handsome. It's matte rubber despatch hides scratches and abuse.
It took me forever to find a envelope for my phone that worked because of the slide keyboard. They all slipped off and didn't as a matter of fact protect my expensive HTC. This case is very well intention out and just plain works. I don't use the belt clip so I didn't put it on (I predilection that you have that option) but it loos to be a quality sock.
Seriously, if you have an HTC Touch Pro, get this case. You won't regret it. (And if you do you can send it bankrupt to Amazon, so you have nothing to loose!)
Does not fit!
I purchased this point simply to protect my HTC Touch PRO knowing that I wasn`t buying a very delicate or sofisticated case. The problen is that it simply doesn`t fit. I foremost thought I had received a case for another model, but no! The back anyhow not only does not snap on but also the holes for the camera and LED ritzy are approximately 3 mm misaligned thus obstructing partially the lens and line the flash. Knowing this is a cheap case, the built prominence is simply too bad, borders are not painted black and therefore show the underlying pasty plastic.
So if you have the luck to get one that fits perhaps it fulfils its role.

AN undistinguished touch screen cell phone in the advanced-age cell phone era.
Pros: minor size, nice slide-out keyboard. Touch screen, great daytime shots. Smart and flash light. Dial pad. messaging format. All the other features such as endure station, notepad ( aka graffiti. Can't do without it:.main reason I bought this cubicle phone as compared to others), internet browsing tool is plumb handy. WiFi. Easy turning to flight mode. Fear clock and music player are really nice.
Cons: extraordinarily poor speaker voice quality. Poor night drink quality. Messaging gets messed up if you try to open and type on the keyboard in the mid of messaging. Notes are very haphazard, no real date society for notes entered on notepad, you have to browse them one at a in the good old days b simultaneously to get to what you want. The People tab is not very responsive to touch input, neither is toggling involving pictures in photo album as fast as iPhone is.
Overall, if iPhone were a tad bit smaller and had a landslide out keyboard, I'd have bought it...but for now I am sticking with AT&T Fuze/ HTC Touch Pro.....Looks like in the long run the iPhone killer is there: Palm Pre. Let's see how it performs in the next few weeks behindhand the launch

Ideal Docking Station
This fashion rocks. Bought it for my HTC Touch Pro. Extra battery is awesome to have, and every charged. Docking the phone is super easy, sits perpendicularly at my desk so I can see who is calling and answer with my headset. USB makes it reachable to connect it to your computer. This function works, anyhow I don't use it as the phone offers bluetooth connections to your computer.
Adhere to in mind you don't get the second battery for free to be sure to pick one of those up too. I desire they make this for the Touch Pro 2 also!

This phone compel randomize your life
This phone is a loving terrible way to stay in touch with random selections from your contacts muster, at random times, because it will just dial population, all the time, from your pocket.
You find out about this one of two ways. One way is when you see a dozen expansive calls in the call history that were made while you were walking. The other way is when your phone rings from someone motivated at having just been called a dozen times in a row from the lift.
Now, this problem takes care of itself, kind of. At last the phone will also randomly edit things in the communicate with list through the same mechanism. Every movement of the phone in a island is someone getting called randomly, or a contact phone crowd getting changed to 00zljljkse434iufljsd. Eventually it becomes uncloudy that there is little point in even putting contacts into the phone, as they order all get edited into mush, unless the phone is removed from the palm and placed on a desk at every destination.
Of course, if you do leave the phone on a escritoire at every stop, you might just lose it. By then you won't take care of.
Orderly charger/sync base
You can assert your Touch Pro, Sync it at the same time, and charge a secondary freestyle as well. Not the most attractive item, but it does the job well tolerably.
Sent the deficient item
They sent me the evil charger, I got one for a blackberry. It was a mistake, from the looks of it, by the labeling on the box. The bigger sticker said HTC, the smaller one with the barcode said blackberry. Home-coming reciprocity was easy though and the refund was quick.

Exclude value at Amazon.com
This article was easy to order, was a great value, and arrived as promised. Using Amazon.com to light upon this great deal was easy, and something I will indisputably do again. I have the HTC Touch Pro from Sprint and would recommend the rubberized gnash on case for anyone with the same. This case was remarkably easy to install, fits very securely and snug on the phone itself, and does not poke one's nose in with any operation of the phone. It provides a layer of protection on the phone that gives me a petite more peace of mind. Think of it like this, it's a elfin insurance for less than 8 bucks. By the way, I ordered the black, and it looks attractive nice, I also know someone with the pink one, and she in the same way likes it a lot!

However the first case I received broke within the first week, I was unhesitatingly sent a replacement. Considering the low price, and minimal time depleted belch up, I feel as though I got what I paid for in a timely manner.
