Fitting smart phone, amazing price
I got this phone because I bankrupt my previous one and still had 1 year left on contract with ATT. I wanted a quick-witted phone that would not affect my contract with my Typhoid Mary and that didn't require a third mortgage to buy. This phone fit the restaurant check. The touch screen works well enough but the Windows Mobile operating technique that it comes with just feels very unpolished compared to the iPhone. And you intent definitely need the stylus that it comes with for the danged finger unfriendly touch functions. It's convenient that the stylus stores invisibly on trustees the phone and is available at a simple thumbnail flick. The mechanism that holds the stylus in make a splash works well, I have no trouble accessing it when needed and I be subjected to no fear of it falling out when stored. The battery cover on the other bracelets is constantly coming off. It engages in the same direction as the slider so you thinks fitting often find yourself attempting to slide open the phone one handed and as contrasted with you will slide off the battery cover from underneath and settle upon have to fumble to not drop the phone. Dropping it from a acme of 2 ft or more onto carpet instantly pops off the cover and dumps the unsecured freestyle forcing a hard reboot. The 20 button manual keyboard is hairy when you don't want to use the stylus to dial a number but I find myself not in reality wanting to use the slide feature for fear of the cover issue. The mini usb mooring that is used for both data connection and charging is secret underneath a rubber flap which I was sure would when all is said break off or refuse to seal back in place but it has worked surprisingly suitably. The phone is already antiquated technology with no wi-fi or accelerometers which are now low-class place on smartphones and realistically although they are not really superior features for a phone you will miss them if you are used to having them. But if they are not $300 impressive the price of this phone more than makes up for the dying of those capabilities.
The best thing about Windows unfixed is that you can very often find free software to fix any of the issues you capability have with the software, or you can make your own if you have the competence. There is no central big brother controlled 'app store' to purchase from or to bolster apps. The downside of this however is that it is not as easy to determine the apps you want and you have to be savvy enough to locate them on your own, but there are slews of "top 10 windows apps" type websites that bequeath help you locate the common most used software with a easy BING search.
So in summary the price of the phone and the fact that it is unlocked and capable to be used with just about any carrier is really it's main attribute, It functions well for my main purposes but more hardcore users inclination probably find it lacking. If you want an iPhone or a Droid and you can contribute one then get it, they are superior products. On the other hand if you just need a functional smart phone and want to ease into touch home screen without losing the capability of a hard keyboard. This phone wont set you raw too much.
HCT Touch Dual Smartphone
This is my espouse smart phone, My first being the UTStar PCC6700. All in all I regard as that HTC did an outstanding job in the design and usability of this phone. There are discrete features and if you happen to order this phone i strongly recomend reading the users handbook to find all of its nifty little features. You can find the users instructions and the software updates at this link: [...]
Communicates seamlessly with bluetooth, Jazzy speaker phone.
Cons
switching between the cameras is at times knotty.
The stylus is small and at times is easy to loose or forget to supplant.

Counting the duration till I can trade it in
In terminate, I hate living with this phone. I have had it across a year and have upgraded to WM 6.5. I find myself navigating too tons menus to do simple tasks. The phone seems to be a luftmensche - staring into place rather than obeying my fingerpoken. When answering the phone, I usually end up accidentally putting the phone into some undesired nation and finding it impossible to navigate to where I need to be because the divide can receive unintended commands so easily. And I use the screen lock! Freestyle life is poor so I got an double size battery. I use it with WM WifiRouter which works graciously and I carry an IPOD Touch - which uses the WiFi link - to procure up for the unbearable browser in the HTC. Email is ok. But inefficient for sending internal emails. Not virtually as quick and efficient as BB. Voice recognition is pretty decent. VZNavigator is out of it to load, but runs well once it is working. It is possible, with attainment, to get google maps to work on the VZ version and it works nicely periodically you get it running. Don't get this phone.
Cheaters
This is the worst procure of my life ever. I have been cheated by sending a HTC difference instead of HTC TOUCH PRO 2, and its not even a small purchase that i can cease to remember about. Its 500$, hard earned money. Such a faker. and now i cant even return it back to them as i am out of country. It would outlay me 200$ more to do so. And i already informed amazon that i was leaving the surroundings, inspite of that or may be BECAUSE of that, they have cheated me. CHEATERS. I longing i was in the country and could book a case on them.
Extremely Underwhelming Experience
This is my word go smartphone. I'm on Verizon. I have had this phone for 10 months so I can distribute a very honest review of it. My experience with this phone has been extremely underwhelming and disappointing.
The design of this phone is spectacular. I don't give someone hell the heft of it at all. It's well laid out and well appointed. Bar none, the tucker speaker phone of any phone I have ever had. The screen layout of this HTC phone is realistic and I was overall pleased with it.
But the overall performance of this phone is behindhand, slow, slow and then finally, slow. The internet browsing on this phone is far downwards unsatisfying and slow. This phone's heartbreaking downfall, and it's a indomitable one, is WinMo. In one word WinMo is truly awful. It's clunky, and over, SLOW and provides a very convoluted and deeply underwhelming purchaser experience. I simply don't understand how consumers can say they love WinMo.
My colleagues fool switched over to Android to get away from WinMo. So a link of weeks ago, I took a trip to Verizon to look at other smartphones. I na can't take the HTC Pro2 or more specifically, WinMo any longer. I really do privation a smartphone that is highly functional and performs at a decent scamper. I took a look at the HTC Incredible and I was floored; actually I was stupefied. It's praisefully functional and fast as hell. I spent about a half hour prevailing over everything on the HTC Incredible and decided right then and there to pay ample retail for the phone. It arrives in August.
The HTC Pro2 is a handsome phone and far designed (and the only reason I give it 1 star) however with WinMo, this phone is an genuine mess.
Fully Able World Class Phone
Unlocked Universal version (black&gray) +front face camera. WM 6.1. Phone telly resolution is clear and bright. Able to cruise around phone like a light brown to birth, (I'm very familiar with Windows) Heavy, yes. Heavier than most phones, but, powerful professional metallic finish. Processor speed was not that astute, 3GS said "see ya!" "Freezing-up" wasn't an issue, a few times, but, could be phone to phone issues. Storage potential is a measly 512MB, but a 4gig SDcard was good enough for pictures, videos, and 2 mp3 albums + topic and contacts. 6.1 is almost the same as Windows on PC. Keyboard shortcuts (Ctrl +V, C, or X) Bluetooth. Zoom Bar okay, more of use to have, than to not have. Touch screen response 8 out of 10. To the greatest internet sites on most web pages. Difficulty making some relate selections, with touch. Build quality is good (sturdy.) Key pad is most successfully there is for slide out keyboards 06/29/10. Well spaced keys. Speakerphone ostentatious. Ringer volume, good. Vibrate, yes.
I gave 4 stars because intercontinental version doesn't support U.S 3G. Got 3G outside U.S & no problems switching in T-Non-stationary - AT&T Sim Cards. Battery life 24hrs. Personal record 2days. Curl feature untrustworthy in holster or pocket, unless, using alphanumeric passcode custody.

Dreadful experience, probably due to Win Mobile
The phone itself is not bad. Strapping, good keyboard. The problem is that WinMobile renders this phone certainly useless. It hangs/freezes about 3 times a week. I receive to reboot it daily. Emails take 5s to display after clicking. Takes close by 10s for it to rotate orientation. Absolute garbage, this thing is. I tried to smash it a few times but it survived, so I deem it has that going for it.

Customer Reviews
Substantial phone, but not quite worth this price point.
pros
-completely responsive interface
-compact
-wi-fi
cons
-no accelerometer
-low screen res and weight
I do like this phone, but not having an acceleromter while having a minor display makes the browsing experience much more gruelling. It wouldn't be so bad if it would just default to landscape for the web, but this phone stays likeness for everything (from what I could tell). At ~$300, I'm not very sure how I could recommend this unlocked price settled a carrier subsidized one that had an accelerometer and/or a slightly bigger small screen. At $180-190, I'd be all over it.
An proficient phone with a great design
I'm so over the moon with this phone! It looks great, it is sleek and unpretentious to use, and for a very cheap price compared to similar Windows Flexible phones.
I needed a new phone, and even though i'm a designer, I'm not into iPhones, that everybody has, and which I upon to bulky and too gimmicky (i dont need that my icons fly or cigarette or whatever, i just want them to bring me to what I trouble). I wanted a good looking phone that is quick, easy to twig, and that you can backup.
The features I use the most are : phone (yes!), sms, contacts, recording, file explorer, camera.
I almost never use it to read mp3s or videos, but the presentation video looks very good.
I disabled the TouchFlo because I inaugurate the clock too big, and I wanted to show the calendar with several appointments (TouchFlo allows solely one) -- so I went back to the "old" Today screen, but there are innumerable ways to customise it.
So if you are fan d'iPhone, you will not be impressed by the Touch 2,
BUT if you want something linking the Blackberry (very business oriented) and the iPhone (more a toy than a phone), then the HTC last wishes as be perfect for you!
Unequalled
OK I just bought this phone like 15 life span ago, what I can tell you is, perfect weight and very small extent, screen wiht perfect resolution beautiful colors and adequate size, the gps is working great with google maps and the copilot app, the mobile is amazing I used the phone a lot (even for mp3 player) and I have to responsibility my phone every 4th day so it's wonderfull, the sound perfect loud and good fettle the vibration are like ussually, the camara is good but it's still existence a bad camara the thing here is the screen is very good and the pictures are like 5 of 10, the windows unfixed 6.5 it's perfect, work very very good and lasting, and with new apps like windows my phone and apps vend it's a real challenge for Mac and the Iphone
So resuming this phone rocks, I recommended for residents that don't like huge cellphone, and well it's an amazing phone

Excluding product and awful delivering (More 10 days on expedited)
It is an nonpareil product with excellent and better windows 6.5 beatiful redden on it. The delivering quite awful. I had already paid over $30 for shipping and it was more than 10 life. So I do not have any idea about the standar shipping system, but be attentive if you are looking for fast delivering time.
I am an international worker and it fix verging on any international sim cards without any problem on it. Windows 6.5 has virtually the same aproach of 6.1 ver. but better respond and better features on it. In overall an excellent product for the money that you spend on it.
Four start for the supremacy and nice looking
awful shipping for such a small box.

This is the very battery that the Touch came with. Works just like the prototypical. I bought it when I realized that all of the extended life batteries call for changing the back cover, making the phone thicker.

Non lasting phone
I bought this room phone 1 year ago and everything went all right untill in the end month when I found that the touch screen went all whey-faced and I couldn't do anything with it. I sent the phone to HTC's RMA department, they said the LCD was brocken and repaired it for no bond. I received the phone back and 3 weeks later my screen is in a trice again white and can't do anything with it. I really don't recomment this stigmatize because I always treated the phone good so I don't see I am responsible for the abort.
Fine fantastic!!!
this circumstance is durable, and fun to play with when your bored, and thanks to it i protection't had any scratched on my phone :)

The holes don't be on the take up
Not opportune with the holes lining up on the phone. My husband is having a skint time hearing and pushing the button to get his calls. I paid more for shipping than I did all the chamber phone products.
Not for GSM
This pelt case is not what's offered. On the back for example, because it's for a CDMA HTC Touch phone not GSM, the camera puncture don't fit. The GSM phones has an big circle and a small one on the top. This one (CDMA) has the small one sideways to the left. Also the mic hole (at the back) don't fit. It's a little too high.
They offered an out navigator button and like tabs on the screen but instead they set up a rectangular window.
Bottom line: not the described product nor the pics be congruous to it. This is for CDMA HTC Touch phones.
Sprint HTC Touch Silicone Act.
Mediocre product does not line up right sometimes, but when the fee is right that is ok.

Didn't fit! Take heed!
The the actuality just didn't fit the touch properly. It flopped around, and the openings (primarily for the camera) didn't even fit correctly. Do not buy, there are other silicon cases almost that do the job correctly. I do not blame the particular seller of this note, just the manufacturer.
