Fine fantastic phone and more if you know where to look
This a glaring beginner phone and more. I got it to develop some java applications for and ended up loving it. I use my T-ambulatory SIM in the phone so get all of my services including internet, email, messaging, and java app's. If you go to [...] you resolve find a lot of games and applications for this phone. The only item missing in my opinion is an FM radio, most Nokia's have them so not inescapable why this one doesn't. Yes, I love to listen to radio especially when I am working or even-handed commuting on the bus to work. This phone is great and is a fantastic value.

This line does NOT work with the Nokia 1661
I bought this guy for the Nokia 1661 in late December 2009. I received it, and after searching for drivers online with no ascendancy, I called Nokia. The specifications for the Nokia 1661 clearly show that there is in fact no functional data-out port on this phone. The port that this cablegram fits in is a dead port (probably because the same metal goods is used on other phones that do have the connection).
So, when I attempted to reimbursement this cable I was instructed to ship it back. I did so, paying for the shipping, gravid to be reimbursed. Lux Case reimbursed me for the cost of the cable, but now I am out the shipping expenditure, which is unacceptable because the only reason I had to pay shipping back was because this produce is being sold on false pretenses.
I made clear to whomever I spoke with at Lux Wrapper that this cable does not work with the 1661, but clearly, they haven't felt the need to change the product category.
Needless to say, I will not purchase anything from Lux Case once again.

Driver needed
Like the other reviewers in this, i also need the driver that will actually effort. I downloaded one from 2valor and another through windows solutions but not anyone seem to work.
illogical to find driver
I purchased this cablegram for use with Nokia 2670, and physically it does fit in the phone.
If the company is skilled to get back with me about a driver I will change my array. As of this time I have spent a couple of hours upsetting to find a driver that will work for this radio and have been unsuccessful.
Does not labour on Nokia 1661
This mooring does NOT work with the Nokia 1661 phone. I tried to stitch my Nokia 1661 phone to my PC using this MyBat CA-101 facts cable and the Nokia PC Suite 7.1 software package. Apparently, the Nokia 1661 CANNOT stitch to a PC. The port on the side looks like a USB port, but it is dead.

The legitimate news is that it has a long battery life and is lightweight. But nil of that is worth anything if you cant hear the other myself. I had a Samsung and a Sony before and never had this problem. The keypad is harsh, requiring sledge hammer to push the keys. Bottom plan: the phone is cheap, but you get what you pay for. Try Sony or Samsung, their cheapest models industry better than this.

Meet basic phone for the money
I needed a replacement phone, and did not requisite to sign up for a new contract, so I bought a Nokia 1680c at the full retail price. This phone is a convincing value. It rings loud & clear, and the speakerphone is easy to consent. People I'm calling say my voice is clear, though they can divulge I'm on a cell phone. It has a lot of neat software features; for example, you can configure a shortcut fight for the left and right softkeys, as well the Up-Down-Left-Sane buttons. There is no dedicated rocker switch on the side for bulk up & down; during a call, the volume is adjusted by the Left and Sensibly buttons. The phone is constructed well, but feels too light. Freestyle life is very good. The screen is bright and clear. Navigating menus can be a scant sluggish. The keypad is stiff, making text messaging a labor. No Bluetooth connectivity, so forget about using one of those fancy headsets. The box does categorize a wired earbud/microphone with integrated call serve/end button. Something that annoyed me was how it saved numbers to the give a speech to book from an incoming call; the Nokia software puts a "+" armorial bearing in front of incoming call numbers. That gets saved to the approach devote book -- for example "+15551212121" -- a minor thing, and something indubitably more useful for European phone numbers, for example. Ok phone to tide me down
Meagre: This phone works fine as a basic phone, if that is all you are looking for.
Large: My old phone's LCD croaked on me, and I wanted to wait a bit before buying an HTC Speculation, so I went with this cheap phone. Complaints: Menu/key retort is sometimes slow. No way to get data to phone via USB cable, at least if you live in the US.
It seems like a USB radiogram exists (in Europe, Asia and Australia) but it costs about as much as the phone itself does behindhand exchange rates. If you go to [...], they talk about line CA-126, which works with the 1680. It has a regular usb connector on one end, and a Nokia microusb & 2.5mm pony plug on the other. The US Nokia manual says the Microusb port is for "practiced personal only", which to my mind says that the carriers in the US wanted to effectiveness people into getting things onto the phone via some $$$-chargeable regulation.
In any event, I'll be getting a new phone in a few months so I'll live with this phone for now. But the limitations it has makes it so that it is solitary suitable for those who are not looking for anything other than making/receiving phone calls (like my parents).
