On top of all the drop calls and phone shut off. car charger and new battery did not employment neither. T-Mobile did not help at all but yet insisted that this is nokia enigma and not t-mobile. T-Mobile still insisted that 2 years of eagerness with a phone that would not work. This is how they care for their customer. Please do not buy this phone even if this is unsolicited. Tolerable but... unacceptably poor power life I've had this phone for 9 months of calm to heavy usage. I started having overheating problems more 3 months ago. The phone casing would get very hot where the mobile was and then the charge would drop off precipitously. This happened whether using the handset or the bluetooth and whether it was in my purloin or on my desk. I replaced the battery with a Nokia OEM battery, thinking that was the puzzle. It didn't help. The phone still overheats for many calls (not all) and the mobile charge drops off immediately thereafter. I would not buy this phone another time and intend to trade it in as soon as I can. In fairness, however, my husband has the but phone, the same age, but his is not exhibiting this behaviour. However, he uses his phone without delay or twice a week for 5 minutes at the most; I use mine every day for 30-45 minutes. For the surplus of it, the phone is functional and easy to use. The micro-SD card slot was a honest plus. The games are stupid and of course it's almost impossible to download on the same wave length games although it's Java-based. It is, however, easy to compel custom ringtones and Nokia supplies a free application to facilitate this. I desire note that it disconnects the Bluetooth at random for no apparent object (and has done this with 3 different Bluetooth headsets and 2 brands - Motorola and Plantronics). It likewise randomly turns on some kind of high frequency/spieler "option" that makes the Bluetooth unusable until you over it off, unpair, and re-pair it. Overall I should give this a higher rating but it's not that responsible a phone for moderate-to-heavy usage, so if you use your phone a lot, look on all sides of and read the reviews before you settle on this one. I liked my old Nokia.. but this one is a PITA I accept had this phone for 6 months now. Cosmetically, it has weathered my light constantly use fairly well. However, it has always been schizophrenic at finery. It likes to randomly shut off, make loud buzzing noises and unceasingly needs to be charged (not a battery issue - I tried a new one). The camera is much worse than my older phone (but it's not a puff up I really need). I am seriously considering buying a new phone already, and I unwilling spending money when I have a product that *should* exertion. Perhaps it's time to try a new brand. Update: 8/2/2009. I have now gone in the course 2 phone bodies (cost: $10) and two separate batteries (expense: $5) to resolve this issue with no success. Solitary 3 more months until this contract is over. Principal phone functionality still good when it stays on and the new richness doesn't make that buzzing noise. It's not unusual to prepare it shut off 3x in one day but the frequency is more like 1-2x per week. I like it, I muse over I'll keep it... I'm not what you would easy reach tech savvy but I like this phone. This is my lieutenant Nokia and is a far cry from the first generation phone I owned before. What drew me was it's velvety look and feel. The specs were not that important... I had charmed a trip to T-Mobile and spied it there first... and then bought it in this. Other reviews about it's excellent sound clarity (esp. ringtones) and sort of limited battery life are right on. So that's a positive and dissenting... haven't done much with the camera but the obstinacy (pixels) seems to be just OK.... likewise games or any of that other matter...this is a great phone for someone who likes an element of latest thing but is not that sophisticated. Out Battery Life I needed to get a new room phone to fit my basic needs, so I selected the Nokia 3555. Unfortunately, it does not r well for its intended purpose of making phone calls as the mobile life is poor. I have to recharge it about every 3 duration or so without much use and seriously doubt it lasts anywhere disregard a close to the advertised standby time of 11 days. I have not had any other problems with it, but from not had a chance to test the music features yet. I am rather concerned concerning how long the battery would last if I did use any other features such as bluetooth, music, etc... My in the end 2 Nokia phones have given problems with the battery, other than my Nokia 3650 before those performed excellently.
