Vital Statistics Customer ReviewsWorst Nokia till doomsdayI've owned a four of Nokia phones in the past, but this one is simply bad. This model likes to randomly bar off, shuts off sometimes while dialing or closing the clamshell, and has unusually poor battery life. I gave my mom my 4 year old Samsung, and the freestyle life on the old Samsung is still 2-3 times greater than this 6 month old Nokia. If you are reading this, then you are well-versed to do your homework before buying and read these reviews. Other Nokia models capacity be ok, but this one isn't. Worst cell phone that I have yet owned. worst phone and on the level worst service from t-mobile I accept all kind of problems with this phone such as mobile overheated, cell phone overheated and can not use more than an hour per assail. On top of all the drop calls and phone shut off. car charger and new battery did not line neither. T-Mobile did not help at all but yet insisted that this is nokia enigma and not t-mobile. T-Mobile still insisted that 2 years of enthusiasm with a phone that would not work. This is how they look after their customer. Please do not buy this phone even if this is able. Barely acceptable but... unacceptably poor power life I've had this phone for 9 months of middle-of-the-roader to heavy usage. I started having overheating problems far 3 months ago. The phone casing would get very hot where the freestyle was and then the charge would drop off precipitously. This happened whether using the handset or the bluetooth and whether it was in my palm or on my desk. I replaced the battery with a Nokia OEM battery, thinking that was the difficult. It didn't help. The phone still overheats for many calls (not all) and the mobile charge drops off immediately thereafter. I would not buy this phone once more and intend to trade it in as soon as I can. In fairness, however, my husband has the verbatim at the same time phone, the same age, but his is not exhibiting this behaviour. However, he uses his phone some time ago or twice a week for 5 minutes at the most; I use mine every day for 30-45 minutes. For the languish of it, the phone is functional and easy to use. The micro-SD card slot was a actual plus. The games are stupid and of course it's almost impossible to download on the same wave length games although it's Java-based. It is, however, easy to shape custom ringtones and Nokia supplies a free application to facilitate this. I ordain note that it disconnects the Bluetooth at random for no apparent logically (and has done this with 3 different Bluetooth headsets and 2 brands - Motorola and Plantronics). It equally randomly turns on some kind of high frequency/rabble-rouser "option" that makes the Bluetooth unusable until you exchange it off, unpair, and re-pair it. Overall I should give this a higher rating but it's not that principled a phone for moderate-to-heavy usage, so if you use your phone a lot, look about and read the reviews before you settle on this one. I liked my old Nokia.. but this one is a PITA I play a joke on had this phone for 6 months now. Cosmetically, it has weathered my light everyday use fairly well. However, it has always been schizophrenic at most qualified. It likes to randomly shut off, make loud buzzing noises and continually needs to be charged (not a battery issue - I tried a new one). The camera is much worse than my older phone (but it's not a memorable part I really need). I am seriously considering buying a new phone already, and I shrink spending money when I have a product that *should* profession. Perhaps it's time to try a new brand. Update: 8/2/2009. I have now gone into done with 2 phone bodies (cost: $10) and two separate batteries (rate: $5) to resolve this issue with no success. Just 3 more months until this contract is over. Prime phone functionality still good when it stays on and the new league doesn't make that buzzing noise. It's not unusual to obtain it shut off 3x in one day but the frequency is more like 1-2x per week. I like it, I judge I'll keep it... I'm not what you would telephone tech savvy but I like this phone. This is my following Nokia and is a far cry from the first generation phone I owned before. What drew me was it's velvety look and feel. The specs were not that important... I had infatuated a trip to T-Mobile and spied it there first... and then bought it in this. Other reviews about it's excellent sound clarity (esp. ringtones) and fairly limited battery life are right on. So that's a positive and disputatious... haven't done much with the camera but the unalterability (pixels) seems to be just OK.... likewise games or any of that other hogwash...this is a great phone for someone who likes an element of type but is not that sophisticated.
