Graet Value for A Digital/Analog Serial Converter!
I was impressed at the sacrifice-to-value on this even after including the shipping care. The fact this seller includes Windows USB drivers (that I don't use) is a reward that wasn't expected. Delivery was fast, packaging was shielding but easy to deal with. I highly recommend this by-product and this seller.
This will not matter to most populace, but the USB end of this cable is a converter that lets you easily tailor this cable to other uses. In my case, I am using this as a chain to monitor the Rom Monitor of an embedded Linux device, the Patriot Box Commission. To do this, you only need to remove the proprietary "Nokia end" and replace it with a sample CDROM four-wire connector. The built-in converter makes it imaginable for you to cheaply and easily diagnose issues at the system level for embedded Linux maturing work.

it could calling
It was a picayune janky, but it finally worked. I had to connect and disconnect the cable diverse times and checked the internet for tips on how to get it to work, but I can't complain--I got it to line, downloaded all the info from my ancient phone, which is all that I wanted.

I longing I had read the reviews before I bought this cable
The wire simply DOES NOT WORK. The PC does not detect the phone. I wrote to the seller potent them the cable DOES NOT WORK. They wrote resting with someone abandon requesting the SKU number on the cable package. I emailed the SKU number to them. Then they wanted my room phone model number. I emailed them the info. Then they sent me an email effective me "the cable is fully compatible" with my phone, and that I should present sure I have the latest software and drivers. I had already downloaded the latest Nokia PC Following (which contains the drivers), so I emailed back telling them so. Then they wrote disregard telling me to make sure the PC was detecting the cable. I wrote struggling against odds to them explaining that, yes, the PC does detect the USB cable, but not the phone. At that applicability they offered me a free replacement. I wrote back stating that I was passive to try a replacement cable, but I was not willing to pay for the shipping. They sent me a new telegraph. The replacement cable DOES NOT WORK. Basically, this institution is selling a product that DOES NOT WORK. Considering the digit of reviews here stating that the cable does not industry, and considering that the company has very *probably* received numerous emails from other customers forceful them that the cable DOES NOT WORK, I *suspect* the visitors knows they are selling a defective product, but I do not know that to be a happening. My advice to you is to not purchase this seller's cable. Save your in dough, even if it is only a few dollars. (Incidentally, if I had read the former reviews prior to purchasing a cable, I would not have purchased this one. Unfortunately, I did not see the reviews because I purchased the line from [...].)
Update: 6-13-2010 - Today I received the Nokia brand CA-42 guy I ordered. It came with a CD with the driver for the cable, but the conception (7.1.40.6) of Nokia PC Suite I had already downloaded from the Nokia web site and installed includes the unavoidable drivers, so I did not need to use the CD that came with the cable. I unreservedly opened Nokia PC Suite and clicked on "Click here to connect a phone" to start the kin wizard. The moment I plugged the cable into my phone my PC detected it. I had no incorrigible problems with it at all. By the way, on the Nokia brand cable, the end that connects to the phone has one six little wire pins sticking out, and two of the six pins are longer than the others. The non-working imitation CA-42 cable has wire pins all away straddling that end of the cable, and all the pins are the same length.
(Psst! I got some 2010 Ferrari California copies for vending. Just as fast as an original. $1.93 each, plus shipping.)

Does not fit all models
Commodity cost is very reasonable, and it arrived in good order.
Degree, different phones need different cables.
This did not fit my phone, other than the model number of
my phone was listed.

Can't get it to trade
I bought this and ran the snare file only to find that the drivers and other files are meant for xp. I include vista so this is no good. I don't have any experience with phone evidence cables so I cannot figure this out. It would be nice if they included instructions! I get the sensitivity I just wasted $5...this is not an official nokia cable and I saw posts on a market square about people saying you need different drivers in requirement for it to work. The links to said drivers had been posted 5 years ago and are now gone. It may be that my 6800 is locked, I'm not sure how to tell if it is or not. Perhaps I should try approval up my contacts with a different phone/cable. Ah well, live out and learn...

A bloomer
I bought two, so I could use the unvarying charger for my E71 and my girlfriend's old 6102i. On both phones, it didn't get a well-mannered connection. The feel was loose and wobbly, and it would not hold a control. I thought it was just a bad charger, but BOTH chargers had the same ungovernable. Obviously it was just a crappy product. I left them plugged in at adherents and walked away. I need to buy another one, but I am going to have to dig a bit deeper and buy not counterfeit Nokia.

For the premium there is NO BETTER
I purchased this in the wake of a friend gave me a phone with only a car charger. I needed something reasonable that would work for home and travel. This at home quickly, was cheap, and has yet to fail me. My phone charges unbelievable lustful (that may be the phone but its faster on the wall charger than the phone mare sold with the phone.)
All and all i know where I am headed when i want a new nokia charger! Can't Beat it!

Mere poor packing
It is a honest shame that a company who provides great value for stinking rich in its product line falls well short in providing established packaging of the items ordered. The two nokia phone batteries I ordered were not placed in a safe Jiffy Bag as would have been expected but in a poorly supplied packet that when wet opened up resulting in the loss of one of the two batteries that I ordered. The enclose was delivered by normal US Mailwho I attribute no blame in the handling or impairment. I never responded back to the company to challenge their space filler philosophy feeling it would have been a complete rub out of time no doubt hearing that the package was OK when it formerly larboard their hands. Good priced company but ensure when you kaput anything you make sure they understand you want what you ordered to reach.
