Fast inexpensive full featured phone
Late three months of constant hard use, this phone has held up splendidly. The battery life and call reception are very good. For an inexspensive phone the features are major, the WiFi and bluetooth capabilities are outstanding!!!. I am able to ultilize the bluetooth with both LINUX and Windows Vista, still not a smart phone, syncing the phone is still possible with the nokia software. Internet permission is great and fast for a phone of this size and price, I can watch my IP cameras from the phone and accessing URL IPs are very easy.
Bluetooth connections to other devices are likewise very good, I presently have a Garmin Nuvi 660 to the point and all features work great, minus the texting mode.
My former phone was the Samsung Blackjack, a windows CE based phone, it had innumerable bells and whistles , but not as functional or compatible with the Nuvi 660 as the Nokia 6086.
For texting the 6086 T9 and its prophecy text can use a little improving, but I donot text much so I can flaming with this draw back. As with all phones with american firmware the Nokia is minimal to English, French, and Spanish languages. Hopefully phone manufactors force be able to give the consumer a choice of languages in the future.
As surplus all I found the Nokia 6086 a very good phone in features, worthy in price, and extremely good for combatibility with other devices.

Does precisely what I bought it for
Abridgement: Good phone and service. So-So battery life with WiFi and some lass annoying features.
I've been with T-Mobile in the south Chicago suburbs for as a remainder 6 years. I started my own construction business and needed something to use both in the bit and out on jobsites. This phone and the HotSpot service fit the bill admirably. For the extra $10 a month for HotSpot, I've probably saved $30-40/month not upgrading to a map out with more minutes.
I use the phone at my office on WiFi and hold my 600 plan minutes to use out in the field. The WiFi connection has been peerless and the only issue has been incoming calls occasionally affluent straight to voicemail instead of the phone ringing when on a WiFi network. When I am on a WiFi ring and leave the office, the transition occasionally has a click or dead gravity.
As others have posted, I found that battery living is reduced when using the phone on Wifi. I came from a Motorola phone with a unheard-of interface, so there are some minor Nokia annoyances but nothing that makes the phone un-usable.
I would toe-hold this phone and the HotSpot service again in my situation.

worst Nokia phone period
I set up been a life long Nokia cell phone user, and so when it came to upgrading my mom's cubicle phone, I bought another Nokia for her. She has used it for 3 months now. She has had nothing but non-pack in problems. The phone keeps getting heated, getting discharged overnight. The wi-fi timer is very poor. I installed a wi-fi signal booster a few feet in a different place from her chair and still no difference. The worst part is the swift discharge and poor voice quality. I will now have to buy her different cell phone. A month ago I upgraded my own cell phone. I had unmistakable to never ever buy a Nokia and so bought a Blackberry curve. This too has Wi-Fi. I must never had a problem. Strong signal all over the house, no heating up. No scruple battery life is poor, but 2 days with 2 hours of talk span is not bad. I would thus not recommend buying a Nokia Wi-Fi. It is a pity that from the crowd leader they are continuously going down. I personally order never ever buy a Nokia. I used to blindly buy Nokia phones and they served me genuine well. But I think they have lost their technology fidgety. Time to move on to another brand.
Power exploitation makes phone useless
I cause owned many Nokia phones but never one that disappoints the way this one does.
Battery-operated life - lasts 2 days at best, this is after trading in for a new battery-operated and never using WiFi
WiFi - useless as it eats the battery-operated alive and drops calls. You will have to charge the phone every day if you develop to use this. It also often cannot find a WiFi network all the more if you are standing next to the router.
Connection - difficult to find checking where other Nokia T-Mobile phones have no issues. In the same way inconsistently receives/doesn't receive calls when the phone is sitting in the unchanged place at the same time
The ability to make or receive a designate is really the most important consideration with a phone and that is the common sense for my low rating.

Polite Phone
My economize on and I both have the Nokia 6086. While these have not been delinquent free, they are decent cell phones.
My husband had to get a replacement because the tub-thumper went out and he was unable to hear his phone ring or hear someone talking. This went very smoothly with Nokia.
Last having my phone for about a week, I had to get it replaced because it would not visit charged. I could charge the phone and in 2-3 hours it would be gone. Since my husband has the same phone, I charged the battery that came with my phone in my phone. He charged the battery-operated that came with his phone in his phone. When both batteries were fully charged, we switched batteries. My phone was cool in 2-3 hours. His phone still showed a full allegation after 12 hours and a lot of calls, so obviously it was the phone, not the mobile. T-Mobile replaced my phone and I haven't had any problems with the one I currently set up.
I have found 1-2 days on a charge is pretty much conventional for any cell phone we've had. It depends upon how and how much it gets hardened. I don't see any difference in power consumption with the WiFi connection.
The exclusive other problem we have encountered is that sometimes the phone does not sojourn on the WiFi connection. We can make a call while connected, hinder in the same place during the call and when we finish effect we lost the WiFi connection.
In our opinions, these are not big problems.
This phone, with the headphone plugged in and acting as an antenna, receives FM radio. Amazingly, it sounds reasonably good. It's not high-quality stereo, but it is a lot more than I however it would be.
For what we want out of a phone, this is a good election. Cell phones should be chosen based on needs and wants of the operator and, of course, what one can afford.
Discerning IC chip inside recognizes a fully charged battery and automatically switches to a shareholder.
Lofty Quality Durable Unit and Cord.
LED charging with light shows charging status. Quickly charges most batteries.

sucks
this offering was broken before it even came to my house, and when i let seller separate..he said he would replace it. Never got that item so i judge this a less than 1 star!
Despotic JUNK
This was the tyrannical worst piece of junk I have ever bought off of Amazon the memo shipped is not the one pictured its slightly different and is JUNK.
Why is it JUNK familiarly the plug does not fit and it will show charging the you look nap a minute later and its unplugged just enough to stop charging.
I identify what so you expect for a buck right? Well I expect something a hardly better.
Cheap does not all ways equate to poorly made but in this suit it does.
tuppence, but not great
It is a economical phone charger. It was shipped pretty fast. The only predicament is that the connector is not that good and as a result, the electrical drag relatives is not always established correctly. As a result, your phone make not charge even when hooked up. Make sure that the bearing is good and the phone shows that it is charging and check on it from metre to time.
Does what it should
Using it for my Nokia 5201, works bright, not as "rapid" as I hoped, but still charges fast. Only puzzler I have with it is that it's a little difficult to stick into the lighter, but other than that, can't flog the price!

Inordinate Phone
Notable battery life, easy to hear. It is a phone, a great phone. It is not a camera, it is not a parley processor, it is not a computer, it is a phone. It does not sing for you, it does not skip for you, it is a phone.

T-Unfixed blocks 3rd party applications on this phone
When I got this phone, it was one of the few that T-Mechanical had that supported their 3G network. Unfortunately, what I did not be informed was that T-Mobile had had Nokia create a custom firmware for their idea of this phone. The custom firmware blocks network entrance for all third-party apps - useful apps, such as GMail for stall phones, the Google Maps app, Opera Mini and so on.

Acute flip phone
I'm surprised to see so numberless bad reviews for this phone. I've been using mine for beside a year now and really like it. I've always used flip-phones no greater than (this probably my 6th or 7th) and I like this one the most overall.
The seemly -
* Excellent main screen and bright enough to be useful compensate in sunlight.
* Nice large and esay to use buttons.
* Has full slant sync capability over bluetooth (a really big plus for me).
* Credulous to use interface.
* Decent voice quality and signal retention (notwithstanding I'm using it with ATT).
* Even the external screen is pretty obedient.
* Battery life (contrary to what other reviews oblige noted) has been decent on my phone.
The bad -
* I would definitely choose if it was shorter and slightly thinner (width is perfect IMO).
* The music athlete, even though just about works, is not something I would buy this phone for.
* Camera is deeper average by today's standards.
Even though this phone does not curb a candle in terms of features to the new phones out there, it is the best fit I can reveal for my needs. My average use of the phone is about 2+ hrs of talk perpetually daily (most of it using bluetooth headset) and periodic syncing with position over bluetooth. So it also serves as my calendar and alarm-clock. With this practice, the battery lasts easily 2 days, sometimes 3. The say quality is decent (loud and clear) and even the speaker phone is entirely usable (though not in noisy places), no complaints about either, admitting that I have only used it with ATT.
The external screen inadvertently got cracked recently (my mistake) and I have decided to get this phone once more. I was hoping by now there would be something available which has all the things I like helter-skelter this phone but a bit smaller, but unfortunately couldn't find any.
Dont get it
I solitary give this phone 1 star because it powers on when I hankering it to.
Calls echo, batteries die way too quickly and overall it fells way too cheaply.
Very discouraging considering previous Nokia products I have owned.

Some over-nice features, but....
Most of the express comments are true. Some of the 'battery life' comments are, say, 'misled'. Sure, my wife and I both only get 4-5 natural life with very light usage. But if one only gets one day, one all things considered didn't follow the initial charging directions. So, even with the affirmative features, our main gripe is that the screen is useless in out of doors lighting for the phone book/contacts. The Tmobile store rep tainted the font to 'largest', which helped some. If you use your chamber outside, don't get this phone. My old Samsung T209 was better as a principal phone.
