Phone Features
The Knack boasts a 2.2-inch internal telly with large text and number fonts, a simplified alcohol interface and messaging communication. A large keypad with unique tactile contrast allows you to easily find the correct slew on the dial pad, and it also comes with dedicated keys for testy access to Emergency 911 (E911), speakerphone, voice letters, voice commands and In Case of Emergency (ICE). You can program the ICE button with three individualized contacts that first responders can easily find in the consequence of an emergency.
The exterior of this clamshell phone includes a less important monochrome LCD screen that displays current time, timer strength, and battery life (but not incoming calls). The phone has an internal 32 MB honour (not expandable), which can store up to 500 contact entries with multiple numbers per entr (up to 4). A No Garnishing Phone that delivers what it promises, esp for Seniors
My store and I have been totally cellular for over 2 years and we are in our 50's-60's, so you can instil old dogs new tricks. We wanted to stay with Verizon due to the tons of towers making our reception much better in a rural section. Since his contract was coming to conclusion we checked into a party of "Senior Friendly--No Frills phones". He didn't want a camera, he has Not ever texted a message in his life, he has a dedicated GPS, a computer for intenet management and all the extra knobs just got in his way. He did need large, backlight numbers scheduled clearly with a large font display, ICE features for emergencies,the phone abundance had to be sufficient for 60+ year old ears, and easy enough for always use without fumbling around. After 2 months of use, he has found this phone much more buyer friendly than his previous Razer. The volume (not even pinnacle) is so loud I have unjustly accused him of having the Speakerphone on....and it was NOT. It has a steed stand that positions the phone so you can easily see the time(thanks to stocky fonts) on his nightstand even with our old eyes. Absolutely NO problems with VM, biting or locking up and the phone is used throughout the day, granted NOT by a teenager.

Fianc My Knack
I pleasure this phone. I was going to get the Alias, as it also has a large lettering, but the new $10/month data fee was a deal breaker. I use the phone for work and texting. I took only a couple of pictures with my prior phone, so I didn't care about that feature. I didn't lust after email or internet. I had a Razor, which had a short battery existence and very small font. Texting is easy and better than the Razor, in that once in a blue moon does the wrong word show up. The numbers-letters are easier and more reliably pressed. The grandeur is bright and large. The phone works great--its earpiece is definite and the numbers have a nice feel. The speakerphone is high property. The contacts are simple to save and they all came over from the preceding phone, unlike the warning I read here. Also, it does ID the caller, with the telephone name or the phone number. The recharging cradle makes it relaxed as pie to recharge the phone.

This phone is cast aside!! Don't buy it!!
THis phone stopped working correctly just after 2 weeks. I could not return it because of the ever. They can only offer an exchange. The phone continues to ebb. I don't get my messages, there is a severe keyboard response delay and there are times it freezes so I take to take the battery out to reset it. Don't buy this phone!

Bad Phone
I obtain had the Samsung Knack for around one year. While the phone is easy to use, I have had particular problems with it. 1. The phone constantly tells me that I sooner a be wearing voicemail messages. However, there are no messages when I ring up voicemail. I have contacted Verizon Wireless twice by phone and now in person to resolve this issue, but all of their efforts beget been unsuccessful. They tell me it's a problem caused by my phone, more readily than their network. 2. The phone ocasionally alerts me that the main body text message memory is full. I rarely use text messaging, and I see no saved messages. 3. There are however 6 wallpaper backgrounds available, none of which is blank. It is particular to read what's on the screen with so much unnecessary distractions in the horizon.
In summary, based on my experience I would recommend against buying this phone.

Take care the Knack
On May 4, 2009, I definitively broke down and bought cell phones for all five members of my dearest, opting for the Samsung Knack because it was a no-frills phone and I didn't want to get under way Pandora's box with my three teenagers. I went with a one year obligation with Verizon just in case the expense of a family portion plan was too much. We immediately began having problems with the phones. One phone had to be exchanged within two weeks, and since then we bear had to replace three others for a total of four replacement phones in smaller amount than three months.
Needless to say, I contacted Verizon respecting the "lemons" and was told that we were stuck with them. According to our covenant agreement, we could only replace phones with the after all is said phones, so now I am getting reconditioned Knack phones, and based upon their track gramophone record thus far, I can expect to have 16 replacements before the compact expires.
My two kids who have been the heaviest users pull someone's leg had the most problems and required the replacement phones; however, there is no disclaimer that accompanies the phones indicating they are powerless of heavy use. The actual problems with the phones have run the scale from not turning on, freezing, scrambling messages/data, menu functions that do not toil, etc.
If you are over 50, you might not have any problems with the phones because you are using them on a meagre basis. I would not recommend this phone to anyone who uses one wholly the day.

I betrothed it!
This chest was exactly what I wanted. It's puffy, so that when it falls on the parquet it is protected from breakage. When I received it, I pulled on the distinct plastic to stretch it out so that the phone fit easily into it and the buttons on the waves weren't affected. This took a bit of stretching - but it worked. I am jolly happy with this case!

Does not fit suitably
This was the just case I could find for my Samsung Knack phone. While the the vendor I bought from, Cellular@GCP, was clever, and I wouldn't hesitate to order anything from them once again, the cover was just all wrong.
Mainly, it's too tight - sliding it on reset all the buttons on the sides and the fake was too tight to readjust the settings without taking the cover off. Likewise, while there are cutouts for the desk charger points on the phone, it reasonable doesn't fit, so you would have to remove the cover to charge the phone.
Likewise, it's too puffy. Strange, but true. Beautiful leather, but the fit on this was all off the target. Also, the belt clip kept falling off just from holding the phone.
